In April 2011, NATIVE launched as Newcastle’s freshest trance night. Our goal was simple: A Trance night all about the music and the atmosphere, that gave headline DJ’s an opportunity to play a longer set in a more intimate environment. After a year of truly special events, we celebrate our 1st Birthday in style, as we welcome world renowned DJ SIMON PATTERSON to the NATIVE decks for a very special 2 and a half hour set. It’s not often you get so up close and personal with a DJ of Simon Patterson’s calibre, and equally as rare these days to see a DJ like this given over 2.5 hours of set time! We also welcome back a true legend of the North East Trance scene, the one and only RICHARD TULIP, taking to the decks once again for a 90 minute Promise style Prog Warm up set in the main room, as well as a Techno set in room 2. This is without a doubt one very unique and special event. Strictly Limited to 300 tickets, NATIVE’s 1st Birthday has all the makings of one hell of an unforgettable night! With DJ support from some of the hottest talent in the region, including NATIVE resident GARETH WESTON, we can’t wait for Saturday 28th April 2012. Tickets are on sale now (skiddle), £10, and we think it’s fair to say these will sell out very quickly! Though, I must admit I find Patterson's sets a little lacking at times, this will no doubt be fucking class. I've never witnessed a Tulip warm up before, so I'm bound to be in for a treat, judging by his reputation. 2.5 hours of Patterson will no doubt be full of surprises. He loves playing the twisted stuff when given the opportunity, and this is as good of an opportunity as he'll get. I'll be at the front with a brush and pan, sweeping my teeth up. See you there!
whoever does the Native posters - pen tool > modify > feather or rubber tool - turn the flow down and zoom in! your welcome
