Please can someone tell me what they find to be the best sites for specific applications.

I currently tend to use Isohunt for music and films.

However, Isohunt is not great at finding underground music artists albums.

    Any reccomendations?

    Thanks

Depends what you're after music wise, but soulseek used to be shit hot for underground dance stuff. Not a torrent site though, its a peer to peer file sharing program thingy.

Torrents are much safer than P2P, full of spyware and viruses

regardless of what you're doing, make sure you've got decent (and up to date) antivirus before you go downloading anything.

Dodgy's guide in the tech section of this site is a must-read if you're not sure what you need...

Yeah they can but its a lot easier to spot the bad ones. Always read comments on torrents before downloading, and figure that if there's 22000 people uploading a file (as with most recent films etc there are) with not one bad word said about it chances are its ok. Also look out for frequent reliable uploaders you know will always be spot on (films - 'MAXSPEED' or pretty much anything by 'h33t' for example)

Also for any software/apps/anything with .exe on the end test it in http://www.sandboxie.com/ to make sure its not shite (also good for cracks)
