2000 and One- 3 hour set. After a succession of sell out parties at The Other Rooms in 2010 and then the massive New Years Eve event with Jaunt> at the Cosmic Ballroom, Motion returns to The Other Rooms for its fourth party. This time we are very excited to announce what is our biggest booking yet, 2000 and One. He has been at the forefront of electronic music since the late eighties and is quite simply a legend in the underground house and techno scene. The Dutch veteran producer/dj/label owner’s influence upon the rise of house and techno over the past 5 years has been unquestionable. His music has been championed by the likes of Sven Vath, Richie Hawtin, Carl Cox, Luciano, Ricardo Villalobos, Pete Tong and Matthias Tanzmann to name a few. Apart from making a name for himself as one of the leading techno artists in Holland, he also owns and runs the highly respected Remote Area – Area Remote Records, 100% Pure, Intacto & Bitten record labels. He has created a platform for Amsterdam’s new generation of artists and helped kick start the careers of such luminaries as Joris Voorn, Lauhaus, Madskillz, Boris Werner, Kabale & Liebe and many others. As a headline DJ, 2000 and One plays at every major club and festival there is, from Timewarp, I Love Techno, Space, Fabric, Womb, Berghain, Sankeys, D-Edge.. the list goes on. He recently served up an outstanding Radio 1 Essential Mix, and we can't wait to present what is a rare UK appearance. With a 3-hour 2000 and One set coupled with the Other Room’s intimate party atmosphere, it's safe to say that this one is set to be absolutely huge. + Motion residents Patrick Topping & Richie Steedman Benedict Wood + KITT 10.30pm -3.30am Online tickets available from http://www.wegottickets.com/event/105069 Paper tickets also available soon- £10 Link to 2000 and One's Essential Mix http://soundcloud.com/r_co/2000-one-essential-mix-20-11-2010 http://www.facebook.com/event.php?eid=172620772780177 www.residentadvisor.net/event.aspx?222212
