To be fair with the amount of narcs you lot shovel its amazing that the nerve centres of whats left of your brains can actually process any musical impulses

What is shite is musical pidgeon holing in any way shape or form.

It leads to a small insular city such as newcastle having a handful of local egocentric scenester "promoters" believing that they are somehow the next gatecrasher / cream / ministry of sound.

However, this is hardly surprising ,though, when these "promoters" have been brought up on a diet of dave pearce dance anthems and in their world nothing existed before promise / foundation.... well thats until they discover "house" music and pretend that they never ever listened to anything other than house and only ever liked frankie knuckles and ron hardy who were born about 20-30 years before they were.

    :lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol:

***square'ish room. flashing lights. chemicals that stimulate the release of serotonin and dopamine all combined with repetitive beats***

it *** ain't rocket science although the way some of you go on one could be forgiven for thinking that some are indeed taking an honours degree in it.

ikon didnt play HH/HD in the late 90's - 90% of time was spent in rockshots
promise didnt play HH/HD - nor at the time hardtrance/techno hence no dj slot in the finals

quality did and all i did was dance on stage wearing taliban bomber suit R.I.P

and i was in my very very very early 20's --- you are pushing 40:eek:

forks being realy into brass stuff , he is pushing 80 but pretends to love HH/HD to be trendy but in fact doesnt need to pretend , he is

reguards records , i have mainly real HH from the likes of trade, decent stuff , not cheese like tidytrax and bangintrax hew:facepalm::facepalm::wink:

 I just like whatever gets the legs wiggling. And sometimes that's HH/HD
the best thing about being 80 is I couldn't care less what's in or out, long as i can shake it all about

As much as i love newcastle and spend most of my time there, i still think other major cities in this country have something 'else' when it comes to the electronic dance music scene.

I think Newcastles 'party city' badge works to its detriment when it comes to the attitude of the people. Too many painfully average bars and clubs and associated attitudes. You get more of a feeling of excitement in other cities.

Hard to put your finger on.

re: the hard dance thing. The one and only detox i ever went to was mainly trance focused (J00F and Askew) so i dunno why it gets pigeon holed so much.

the fact that you don't realise I am joking proves how very dim you are and that is Dim with a capital "D"

what the hell is "elevator music" anyway... i made that up about 5 fucking years ago as a reference to anything that doesnt make you want to dance

minimal fucked the real techno scene in newcastle too.

because all the cooler than cool types who jumped on it stopped supporting real techno and then when the real techno nights stopped running due to lack of numbers the cool crowd had fucked off to something new like dubstep or electro and never returned.

anyway that aside CURVES was good on sat - probably one of the best nights i have been to this year with absolutely fuck all pretence or sunglasses in a dark room wearers anywhere in sight

can you come out with some original quotes too

if you were a music track you would probably be the time of my life by the black eyed peas as your patter is so poor

I also doubt you know what egocentric means.

the early tidy stuff and the trade stuff are essentially the same

its only the late on tidy stuff and toy town whitby speeded up donk that takes it into areas that are appalling but hey different strokes for different folks

    :)
