Shame I'm in Leeds to get all euphoric at digital society or I'd have definitely been involved. x

    Jaunt> 3rd Birthday> PRE-PARTY @ BLUE BUNNY CAFE

A few months ago we enquired about running a secret little rave at this cheeky little basement cafe space.... as usual in Newcaslte it ended up in us being looked at like we were aliens from the owner.......

Luckily one of our mates has bought it since then!!!!!!!

This very small and very intimate basement cafe space will provide the perfect warm up to the 3rd Birthday celebrations.... and its only two minutes walk from the ballrooms....

    Capacity holds 40!!!

Collins again was outstanding, the way he was effortlessly changing the tempo was quality, had the place in bits! I had propa night club fatigue, needed to take a break for some half time oranges n a sit down.

    Mint bday

Big thank you to everyone who was down on friday. 456 people at the ballrooms in the arctic conditions when the rest of town was dead was something no-one in the Jaunt camp expected.

Thank you to everyone who has made the last 3 years so special.

For me Collins when he played in Jan 09 was the best set i've ever heard at jaunt. That has just been beaten for me by his set on Friday. Tolfrey and Collins were both stupidly good as well.

To see them 2 them all go back to back with the Jaunt sign glowing behind was next level.

Thanks again and roll on boxing day then the Residents party on NYE

    :dunce:

Yeah that guy really is something special like. Absolutely mind blowing, basically all the tunes he played were his own edits as well. Cant wait to have him back

Gutted I couldnt stay and get involved on Friday, my saturdays at work have seemed to fall on the weekends when I would love to stay out and let my hair down recently.... gutted

Enjoyed seeing some of Rankin and then Blackhall and Booky though and was filling up nicely as we were leaving around 12.30ish. Glad it was a good one and the ballrooms got the hiding it deserved :king:

Yeah the place looked totally different. It gets really bad press but to be honest the dick head bouncers have either gone or havent been working the nights we have been there and the club was like a different place on friday.

All we did was turn off every light appart from the jaunt light box behind the decks, and the light behind the bar. filled the place with smoke and the only light you need is that strobe every so often. then when the place is rammed and in total darkness its a class club

Its still one of the best venues in the city for me like, especially for the size of it as theres a shortage of decent venues that are under around 500 capacity.

They do seem to have pulled it round though after going through a period of getting a lot of grief (most of it was deserved at the time) and the last few times ive been there ive seen no bother at all

Yeah the intimate size is perfect if you want to get on good underground bookings who aren't big enough for clubs like Digital and Legends for example. The lay out is simple and nothing flash and when its total darkness with a few sneaky lights its spot on. Slowly peoples views are changing i feel.

Since they ripped out the different levels and seats next to the booth its much better as well.
