(New) Internet Explorer 9 Just saw this published on Sky news on my iPhone so thought i'd throw on my lappy & give it a shot, still installing, but hearing good things about it! EDIT: Fantastic!, so far so good, alot of new features, such as the new URL searching, size, layout & most of all it starts up & loads websites very quick. Infact even downloading seems faster Might be worth giving this a go if you're having any problems with the likes of Chrome or FireFox Free Download: http://windows.microsoft.com/ie9?os=win7&arch=a&browser=ie This video is a demo of the tester, the link above is the full release. chromes better. i wish firefox didnt get proper slow and shit when they released the current one otherwise i'd still be using that. however chrome's been a nice replacement so far!
If you like Chrome this may be of interest, based on Chrome but without the Google privacy issues: http://www.srware.net/en/software_srware_iron.php
Chrome was ok when i was using it but this new version of IE9 is fucking class at the min in my opinion it blows all other browsers out the water. Now it's time for FF & GC to make some big "cool" changes lol, browser war.
i switched to Chrome a couple of weeks back, but IE9 looks good Arcade Fire HTML 5 demo : http://www.thewildernessdowntown.com/
quite impressed with this, still very buggy but for IE it's very good. am glad they "borrowed" the tab snapping feature from chrome.
I've just removed it, far 2 buggy, nice though, i'll re install it in a few weeks when everythings sorted. As it runs from my GPU it's fast as fuck, back to FF for now
For once they've made some progress - Internet Explorer had been holding back the web by 10-odd years (they've only just added SVG support...). Now it's still missing a few features (see here: http://caniuse.com/), and it will take at least five years for the majority of Internet Explorer users to be using versions greater than 9 (see Internet Explorer 6 usage), so I'm still going to be calling it a fucking heap of shit for the foreseeable future when designing stuff, but it's a smaller fucking heap of shit than it was.
