With his tracks getting hammered by the likes of Ricardo Villalobos, Sven Vath, Richie Hawtin, Luciano and many more, its not hard to see why INXEC is in such high demand both in the studio and behind the decks. Born in the early 80ís Chris Sylvester aka INXECís first foray in music production came in the unlikely form of the playstation. However it wasnít long before he moved onto more advanced software and by the early 2000ís was releasing prog edged house music for labels such as Renaissance & Distinctive under the guise Sound Alliance. Fast forward to 2003 and the burgeoning techno sound had bitten Chris, who by that time was playing regularly at venues across the UK, such as The Bomb & Stealth. By 2005 his production talents were honed to the extent that Jay Haze signed him to the much-converted Contexterrior label, and Chris proceeded to produce a string a highly acclaimed EPís for the label, which brought him huge recognition within the techno scene and beyond. A string of high profile remixes were to follow, massive labels like Yoshitoshi, Cr2, Tuning Spork, Renaissance, Greatstuff, Kismet, Saved, Esperanza and many more, as well as a highly acclaimed string of collaborations with long term friend Matt Tolfrey. Fast forward to 2009 and Chrisís production talents were picked up by the worlds biggest techno label Cocoon, which has helped catapult the Inxec name into the upper stratosphere of the house and techno community. During the last 4 years Chrisís constant dj gigs and touring has seen him play some of the worlds most prestigious clubs including Fabric, The Cross, London, Watergate Berlin, Minimal Hospital in Italy, as well as a much lauded residency at Harry Klien in Munich, which sees him grace the decks at least once a month where touring permits. With more hit releases and remixes on their way as well as tour of the USA, its clear that INXECís star is firmly in the ascendance. MARK CHAMBERS (Leftroom / Serialism / Snubb) http://www.myspace.com/iammarkchambers Mark Chambers has always found sanctuary in the corners of his mind, for in the corners you will find your true nature and true creative being. His mission is to free people from the confines of the music they are accustomed with and make them really think about what they are listening to and at the same time get the floor pump-in." I just play records that move me and let others worry about what it is called. A good DJ makes a techno fan think he heard techno that night and a house head think he heard house." In my opinion, a good DJ makes everyone leave the club thinking he played a different sound." Born in Darlington England and raised up in the Middle East this 27 year old is up and coming. Mark has recently relocated to London for new inspiration and to give him access to new places to play. As he continues to tour around the world, his following is growing steadily. even more to his job description of DJ/Producer, Mark recently created a promotions group based out of London UK specializing in contemporary electronic music and hosting events in unique locations called " Alphabet". He started producing in 2006 Whether crafting perc-y, not-quite-dancefloor techno, or rumbling digital house ,Mark continually strives to create music that honors the past beyond empty tribute or cultural appropriation, by infusing the digital tools of the present with a little of the magic known as human imperfection. He has been pushing the deep tech jazzy sounds, wherever he has played. Anything that sounds weird and original with a strong element of elbow is what gets Mark grooving. With a release out on Leftrooms sub label "Left'd" and an upcoming releases on Leftroom itself., and a few release under his belt on Snubb Records Mark is on his way up.. RESIDENTS....... CRIS SLATER (Snubb / Caballo) Instead of conforming to the mainstream, Cris Slater, now 26, grew up with a hunger for the musically obscure and mainstream inept always pushing the boundaries of his musical palette and others. His love of all things rhythmical and melodic began at an early age, forced to learn the violin, recorder and read sheet music at school, Cris grew to love sound. As Cris developed with age and matured so did his musical thirst, listening to anything from Hip Hop to Happy Hardcore. By the time Cris was 15 he could be found behind his friends turntables, watching, appreciating, learning and developing a lifelong love of vinyl, finally at the age of 18 he picked up his first set of turntables. Now days Cris, having held residencies both in the UK and abroad and completed a degree in technologies for music production and performance, can usually be found behind the decks at his London Residency, Alphabet, his Newcastle residency Caballo, at a Party or in the studio, carving out deep bass grooves and moody highs whilst colouring sets and production alike with touches of techno, disco and darker, raw house elements that strengthen his own view of house, pushing it in large doses to peers and clubbers alike. “........if it fits and I like it, I’ll play it! .......I think people draw too much on pigeon holing music into genres and not breaking away from them, what appears to be one thing to someone can be seen as something entirely different to another..... there are so many good artists and labels now days.......... if not another track was made to the day I die, thankfully i don’t ever see this happening, but I’m sure I would still be finding new gems hidden away ...... it’s a fantastic time to be involved with music..........” 2010 is looking to be a good year for Cris Slater with national bookings, eagerly anticpated forth coming releases due out, new events and bookings in the pipeline. PRIM (The Prim Sessions / Caballo) Drawing from influences across the musical spectrum Prim puts hits sets together to make sure of one thing...to make the people dance. He has dj'd in some way since the 80's, getting down to his first mix around age 6 on his Uncles mobile disco, blasting out 80's pop and soul/funk, Prim then dived into the newly created culture of Hip - Hop , never an MC or a Breaker he concentrated on mixing and scratching... all of this before age 13! Moving into house/acid house when his sister returned from Ibiza in 1988 with an audio tape and stories of outdoor nightclubs and parties till dawn..... he was hooked to the music and the mysteries surround this new movement... Playing his way through the early rave days of the 90's with radio show appearences Prim cut his professional DJ teeth on the Drum and Bass scene where he was from day one, working with every legend imaginable and joining the Elements of Noise dj team, soon securing gigs around the world and residencies in the UK and sweden, being one of the first dj's to introduce to the music to Scandanavia! Now back to house and techno and fed by some of the best labels and sometimes directly from the artists, Prim's intake of tracks sometimes tops 200+ a week, but, never one to play for himself or only play the newest tracks Prim is a guarenteed crowd pleaser. His tech & underground sets draw influence from the likes of jesse rose, claude von stroke, luciano and loco dice.. blurring the line between techno and house his sets will definatley give the bounce to the dancefloor Prim's party attitude transfers into his sets and perfectly onto the dancefloor.......even getting out from behind the decks and getting into the party during his sets, and has been described as 'an unstoppable force in charge of the crowd' Ever the busy man he has side stepped the production route to getting gigs to concentrate on becomimg a more standout dj.. having played alongside some of the best DJ's in the world (reboot/guy gerber/worthy/spiller/mason/m.a.n.d.y/spektre/shonky) and airing some form of radio show each week to over 30,000 listeners, guest spots booked up to 3 months in advance, evidently his popularity is growing across the globe! This year Prim is looking to take his radio show 'Prim Sessions' on the road for live recorded broadcasts so get in early for the scoop! SHAUN ESTRAGO (Caballo) Born and raised in UK, but Spanish by descent Shaun Estrago is a young up and coming DJ and producer currently based in the North East. Being brought up in the 90's rave scene, Dance music has been a way of life for Shaun. Since buying his first pair of turntables his passion for music has seen him collect and play all styles of music before settling into electronic music. Today Shaun’s style moves between deep and groovy house, tribal rhythms and latin influenced sounds. Currently holding in a residency at KlickKlack and Caballo which has seen him already play along side top artists like Reboot, Martinez.. We hope to see you all soon.......
