Fair play. Looks like it needs a hell of a lot of work though.

Used to drink in the globe after 5-side at the college for the decent range of cheap polish pilsner (Can you keep this same beers on that would be great). Its rough and ready with two smallish rooms low ceilings and a nice smoking terrace ideal to me.

Its just what newcastle needs at the moment a small to medium 2 room venue with smoking terrace thats not too near hotels or flats for noise complaints. Since the closure of the Cooperage,Redrooms,Baron and Baroness,Arts Centre, Cumberland Arms, stero, the Tyne and soon Newcstle uni there has been very few venue for new and exsisting promoters to put partys on.

If you get a wide variety of different underground nights on there not just what ever is trendy this season minimal/dubstep (though i like tracks in both styles) every night i can see it doing well and establishing plus keep going some good nights and bring exciting electronic music back to Newcastle rather than the more commercial established names need to fill bigger venues

Also if you get the council on boad then it would make a great afterhours club.

Best of luck i think its just what newcastle needs at the moment.

i know the lads from white elephant and they are interested in doing a party there with our rig.

So if kerry give the go ahead thats l looking good.

Danny plus 8 plays at tuberlance now and does a night called Bass at the attict on the second Friday of the month playing D&B,Bassline,Dubstep and Fidget they are letting us put two bass bins next friday so that should be good only £3 in as well.

Would be good to get some night like the coop in the globe.

    Sounds promising.

I always thought that old pub was just potential going to waste.

Needs a bit of work like, but still... Seems like it's decently out the way of the city. Should mean it only draws in only dedicated ravers.

Just realised where this is now, last time I was down there I was in a clip coming from Gods and loads of charvers were trying to persuade a taxi driver to ignore his call cos they had "a shit load of e and shit load of coin."

Its gonna be a mission getting people to go all down that way, but hey, a long time ago in a galaxy far far away, Stereo managed to do the same thing.

All i'd say is that its gonna take a little more than cookie cutter trance or other more 'mainstream' genres to get people to make the effort.

Still - sounds exciting. Its places like these that have the potential to end up as the cool places where big things start off at.

Thanks for all the positive comments :) It should look really cool when we've finished all the work.
We should have a really diverse mixture of nights in there, judging by the ammount of interest so far.
we plan to open Thursday 26th August, free entry, so feel free to come down and check the venue out, everyone welcome.

    More info coming soon.......

    Really good idea

Helps to get a different perspective on how the set up the space so the mistakes of the Cosmic ballroom don't happen again (not saying that they would).

It also creates hype and gives the venue a good chance to give out flyers for forthcoming partys there and get clubbers used to where the venue is with it being a little outside the city centre.

Think dalyb2b witn melt should provide the music for the meet and greet evening melt can have a Mic as wel to do half hour rants giving advice to new promoters.
