CDJ Repairs There has probably been a thread on this but i cannot find it, and as i cannot find it i was wondering if anyone knew where the best place was to repair a CDJ 800?
just some vodka coke got spilt on it, now the jog wheel sounds like sand paper and doesn't spin very well, and im sure it doesn't recognise when trying to change the pitch on the odd occasion. Im pretty sure its just all the dried coke just under the jog wheel but would like a professional to get it done incase there is other damage.
AVS Electrical are ok. they are in the balkwell farm industrial estate, just opposite the post office depot place just down from the shiremoor farm pub. just got one of mine fixed the other week, they did say the jog wheel would need replaced soon and quoted £85 (on top of the £30 deposit) for it
if you feel confident enough you should be able to do it yourself.... I've done this with a mixer (and a twin cd remote) before and had no issues
Ah nice one man, will probably give them a look at, cheers Will have a look at just doing it myself before i take it a long if its easy to do i suppose. save on some cash and all that
http://www.eserviceinfo.com/index.php?what=search2&searchstring=pioneer_cdj-800_mk2.part1.rar i done it with my cdj1000smk3's and i just downloaded the service manuel from here, it dousent show you exactly what to do but theres a few pictures of the assembly of the unit, took me an hour to do the first one but after doing that one it took me about 20 minutes max to do the second one.
