After 5 years of tearing up dancefloors across the UK and beyond, we have brought you the absolute best in electronic dance music since we started grinding our organ back in 2004. From Erol Alkan to Luciano, the quality and spectrum of our parties has progressed year upon year to bring us to the juggernaut that Wax:On is today. Thanks to a lot of dedication, incedible artist talent, a fantastic legion of fans and a little bit of magic, we are proud to invite you to celebrate our 5th Birthday Spectacular.

In Room 1, techno heavyweight Sven Väth enters the ring to go head to head with musical luminary Erol Alkan in Room 2. Fresh from another storming season in Ibiza with “stalwart” clubnight Cocoon, Sven Väth has set the pace for more than 20 years now, this star DJ and producer’s inimitable feeling for music has kept him one step ahead. An eternal visionary, he has devoted his life to the further development of electronic music and the promotion of all art forms in club culture.

Erol Alkan has lent his Midas touch to every carefully undertaken project since the early 1990’s, from infamous clubnight Trash, fabled residencies including Bugged Out, and a dizzying production rosta including his own aliases, “Mustapha 3000” and “Beyond the Wizards Sleeve” and producing for some of the hottest talent around as well as recently releasing the massive club hits Waves & Death Suite alongside production partner Boys Noize. Voted the Uks favourite DJ for the second year running in 09, the competition will be fierce as this Clash of the Titans brings Digital to its knees.

Going to Frankfurt for Svens birthday bash was one of the best night's i've had. All over this.

He's playing down here in Liverpool for a big Cocoon night @ Nation on the 5th Decemeber too...looks like he's doing the rounds!

Alkan normally manages to pretty much fill the club on his own.

I can only imagine what it'll be like with him doing upstairs.

I'm quite keen to check out the MagicBag room as well (thankfully death on the balcony wont actually be playing the room with a Balcony. That would have been tempting fate a little too much i reckon)

I agree with Blackhall, between Warehouse parties, Basics coming to the city, New weekly parties, Old venues being made new again and some huge bookings like the Wax:On birthday it would seem that the god awful summer has given way to some great changes for the Autumn.

Things seem to have settled down into something better than they were originally.

See Sven is playing Matter on NYE aswell. Already down there, very tempting!
