Kicking van Persie in the head? Running 90 yards to cause a situation with the arsenal fans? Being a complete cunt?

    Take your pick.

I would of thought a member of Islam getting a beating was the sort of thing Pike would of liked.

Havent seen the stamp, so cant comment on that...

The celebration though, was it really that bad? Bear in mind that for the final 2 years at Arsenal the fans were on his back on an almost weekly basis, then yesterday he wouldn't have had the lickings of a dog from them, with chants about him, abuse when he got near to them and got the ball etc... We will have all seen the kind of grief that he would have got at our clubs when ex players come back.

To celebrate the goal he ran the full length of the pitch, though didnt enter the crowd. Didnt make any swearing gestures to them, didnt attempt to abuse the fans in any way, simply dropped to his knees in front of them. In response he had a chair thrown at him along with causing near riots in the crowd.

Think about it for a sec, what has he really done in comparison to the Arsenal fans?

Adebayor runs 90 yards and drops to his knees a good 20 feet from the edge of the pitch.

The fans give him 2 years of verbal abuse, culminating with 90 mins of grief yesterday which has led him to do this. Then, in reaction throw chairs at him and try to pile forward to get on the pitch to no doubt assault him?

Yes he has obviously provoked them, though haven't they done the same thing and asked for it in giving him so much stick? Footballers are only human and if any of us were in that situation and getting so much personal abuse we would all feel like doing the same thing.

I know at Sunderland we give players grief all the time, ex players, ex mags, or just players who we dont like, and if someone celebrated in front of us after this then yes we would think he was a prick, and no doubt give him more stick. Anyone who threw anything though or tried to enter the field of play and in doing so causing other fans to get trampled on like we saw yesterday would be out of order though, no questions and would need dealing with.

Would all this fuss have been made about the issue if the fans had acted differently and not caused the trouble they did? I think not... The main issue is IMO with the crowds reaction and behaviour, rather than the actions of EA.

Graham - i can see where your coming from mate, but i think any sort of hostile interaction with the opposition fans (or even your own) is going to be frowned upon. even more so at the moment after what happened at Upton Park etc etc

I'm totally with Adebayor, if I was getting abuse all match I'd run straight to the opposition fans as well to rub it in.

He came across like a complete cunt yesterday. That kick on Van Persie was disgusting he knew exactly what would have happened when he celebrated that goal imo.

I agree with Graham, if a player is getting that much stick its fair game to give a little bit back. It wasnt excessive the way he celebrated he didnt abuse the fans in any way it wasnt as if he did a Cantona on them.

If Eduardo can get banned for 2 games for diving, even though loads of others do it week in week out, then he should get at least a 2 game ban for each of them offences yesterday. If them Arsenal fans had go on to the pitch yesterday it would have been like a scene from 28 Days Later, they would have savaged him!!!

TBF to EA if I was playing for Newcastle & we drew Sunderland in the cup I would spit on the part of ground where G.Leadbitter dads ashes are scattered & esp if he was still at Sunderland I would of made sure Grant clocked me doing it.

If thats the case then questions should be asked about arsenals fans. Anyone that would savage someone or throw chairs through a crowd is pathetic.
No way should he get a ban, he didnt do owt wrong. Serves the fans right for rinsing him. look who's laughing now.

the punishment for over the top celebrations is a yellow card, which he got so dont think he should get anything more for this, the stamp definitely should be looked at

he stamped on him no doubt automatic 3 match ban imo , the celebration was stupid but didnt warrant the reaction from the cockney fuckwits that normally can barley raise there voice to cheer the team on .... the celebration was daft the fans reaction was ridiculous .
