It all goes off spend, the more your monthly bill is the more there physically able to do for you, it's all computer generated. If your like me (tighter than a Mountain Goats knee) then it doesn't matter how much you kick off, the computer will literally say 'no'.

Loyalty with Networks aint what it used to be, you could have been with Orange 20 years only spending £10 a month & they'd still tell you where to take your business if you got shirty.

    Low spender = disposable

High spenders = contacted 3/4 months before their contract actually ends offering upgrades/talk plan discounts, all to make sure the Network keeps the business.

I actually work on the system and it's true like, I constantly tell people where to go when they spend next to nowt. It's better to go on one of those sim only contracts for 3 months, rack up 3 decent bills (say over £50), then tell them you're leaving. You'll get a quality deal then, much better than customers who've been there for years with average bills of say, £25.

The whole system is a bit of a joke to be honest; You can have a massive budget for some customers and you're allowed to use the full 100%, but it's not in your best interests to because of the bonus structure. You get paid more for giving less, so it's basically up to the discretion of the retentions person whether you're kept as a customer or not. I'm constantly letting people go because what they're asking for would fuck up my bonus.

but like anything you need a good product behind it. i cannot understand why anyone would entertain another phone out there (unless due to cash reasons).

Because other people don't get sucked in by Apples media machine?

99% of the apps are pointless. A spirit level? Aye like you'd use it to put up a shelf when it's only the size of a phone and not a full size one.

Internet in your pocket? Most phones have that anyway and if you need the internet that much you might as well get a netbook. Music on the go? All phones have mp3 facilities mine has an 8 gig sd card in that has nothing on it.

Apple have reinvented the wheel and people get bought into it. I'll admit i have an ipod touch but i don't use it for anything other than music. I could use my phone for that as it's got the same size memory however id rather have my music player and my phone seperate.

Specially when you consider the battery life and the fact you cant replace ipod batterys.

I hate the fact i have to have my n85 in my pocket as its not exactly small, God help an i phone as its bigger and bulkier.

I could have got an iphone, but i do not want one.

are you kidding !! the N97 failed the testing at orange so we have stopped selling them branded !! The touch screen is the same as the nokia 5800 which is slow and to put it nicely,, fucking aids !!

If you feel the need to have a touch screen phone get an iphone or the new HTC hero, any other handset is gash central !!

Its all about the blackberrys anyway,, 3594F67G ;-)

anyone got any opinions on the blackberry 8900 or the nokia e63 and e71?

i can get the blackberry on orange as long as i ditch the £15 a month i have at the minute and go back on £30pcm. can get the nokia on 3 for £20pcm.
looked into getting an iphone but i don't want to pay £45pcm or open a 24 month contract, and refuse to pay £100 for the phone!

Is there any real point in getting an iphone if you've got an ipod touch? They look like they do exactly the same thing, only one doesn't have the calling, texting or camera functions? The camera's on other phones are miles better anyway as well.

I've just recently bought an Itouch & wish id just paid the extra £100 & got an Iphone. They are similar but you can only use the Itouch in/around places that have WiFi, the Iphone you can connect where ever. Which annoys you at times.

You could just get a phone with a class camera and mobile internet and have the best of both worlds though yeah?
