After finishing off last year by finding one of the Toon's most crazy and chaotic venues, we have decided to do a one off night at Slums No1 venue, DB Social. Situated next Door to 'Your choice homes' on John Dobson St, DB was one of the best finds of last year and having thrown on a load of events in 2008, we at Slums the word HQ have decided it was about time for another. Hosting Slums the word is resident Chrissy G, who has spent nearly two years representing the fabulous Slums brand by putting together a mixture of deep house, minimal beats, bleeps and blobs. Along with Chrissy, we are joined by two of Newcastle’s leading residents. Jaunt and Cleer have played with such great guests as Damián Schwartz, Robert Dietz, Breakout Audio djs, Solomun, Anthony Collins, Miss Fitz, Clickbox, Cassy, Magda, Dan Ghenacia to name but a few. Now with Blackhall, Bookless and Binni all lending a hand, this event promises to be a goody indeed. Also, just when you thought things couldn’t get any better we have decided to drop the door charge to only £3 all night... Thats right £3... So get down soon to avoid disappointment. We know its short notice about the event but the decision was a late call so please pass on the news to anyone who is a fan or you think would enjoy the shenanigans. Remember everyone is welcome as long as you bring a good attitude and a bigger smile. Everyone else stay away please. The entrance, as always, will be round the back of the cafe. was loving it at DB on saturday, was only there for over a hour but the tune were class, not sure who was on when i was there though
