    30 Seconds With... Satoshi Tomiie

“It’s not about the size of the club, intimacy is what it's all about”

Shindig presents another of it’s infamous Tweakin’ parties at World Headquarters. This time round and jetting in from New York we are thrilled to present one of house music’s originators in Newcastle’s most intimate surroundings. Shindig is proud to bring you a special extended set from the one and only Satoshi Tomiie

Bank Holiday Sunday 24th May sees Shindig descend again on WHQ for an intimate party with Satoshi Tomiie and As the first day of Evolution 09 draws to a close what better way to carry on the party than in the company of one of the stalwarts of the scene.

As one of Shindig’s longest standing and most loved guests, Satoshi despite being no stranger to the deep, dark end of the progressive house spectrum, having released some of the darkest and dirtiest on his own SAW Recordings also takes influences from pretty much the whole gamut of dance music to create his own unique grooves firmly attached to New York’s celebrated past. On previous visits, just when we thought we would be led deeper into the annals of darkness Tomiie managed another turnaround and took us straight to prog land with hands in the air excitement.

"Foundation was impressive, the vibe in the club was amazing…"

Aye ya mincer leaving early :D

I was asking behind the DJ booth whether he was gonna put it on and was told he definitely would. We left dead on 4 but hadn't heard it. Dunno if he saved it till the end or what.

    Sorry.

Don't remember seeing you there Adam? Not sure though because I just remember gradually starting to recognise people at one point, must have been well zoned out.

ah.. the kid in the booth was craig dewson.. old backroom resident from foundation.. had been out all day from watching match and was in right clip..

when i got back from hotel bringing satoshi up I ejected him from the booth cos as you said he was being a right tit..

He then fell over just outside the booth, and then 20 minutes later he was asleep in the corner.. he's always a drunken bum...

Thought it was ok considering the relegation blues had set in :( and Evo being on.. busy, crowd seemed up for it when satoshi started banging it a bit more later in his set..

I've got a mate like that - he's been thrown out for falling asleep in foundation, and last weekend he managed to fall asleep against one of the funktion one stacks in digital
