Its not often I post in threads, because as most people who know me personally are aware that I hate messageboards (and the fact I cant write short sentences). But I wont be missing out on seeing him in WHQ. Admittedly the few times Ive seen him in Digital just hasnt felt right, not because I thought he was bad in anyway just for the simple reason that I am starting to get old and he was one of the DJ's that I went out for at all times back in the Foundation days & I dont think you can replicate that in the new main room, especially as I am starting to look/feel like an old bastard.

I remember looking down many a time (like a proper weirdo) from that small space upstairs where you could just see the turntables and the person who was playing's hands.... Strangely long before these CD things came into effect and people only played off vinyl. But I instinctively remember on more than one occassion watching Satoshi wait until the dying moments that any other DJ would start sweating that they werent going to get a record cue'd and into the next one seamlessley. Yet somehow the clever little shit did it everytime without fail and without any kind of effort. I am sure he has magic hands/ears or something.

Up In Flames for the first time in that room was unbelieveable.

Now I am not usually one to ask for anything or even be a proper sad cunt in saying can you please get him to play this/that. 'BUT' for the love of christ, the sake of 'HOUSE' music and to just move against the current trend of all things up front, genre-based or even cool please, based on the fact its a person who has contributed some of the finest kick off moments in "underground" history that Newcastle has seen, on this one occassion and the probability of old faces being in attendance just have a gentle word in his ear about dropping one of those tracks that once made some of us say "right Satoshi's on this week, get me 25 of those and a new face please".

He can play anything else that he wants as long as either Up In Flames or Love In Traffic is dropped at least once. Now I am not going to threaten to hurt him, that would be shocking. But what I am going to do instead is threaten to hurt you Bradford, its not something I am proud of and its not what either of us wants, but a little motivation didnt hurt anyone did it? ;)

Putting someone like him in WHQ is a masterstroke. I might even dance.......

EDIT: As well as waffling on, it also appears that I cant construct sensible sentences or spell correctly late at night. Changes made :)

I don't think I have ever seen Scott do a post less than 300 words. Proper War and Peace poster.

I think I might come along for this too. Agree about how special Satoshi's sets were at Foundation, in particular his debut. He was instrumental in that whole dark prog sound. While we are on about requests here is another couple that would be good :)
