That link doesn't look anywhere near where you want to be.

I'll post you a proper link tomorrow of roughly where it is. But you want to search on that map for "Fourstones". When you're driving from Hexham and you get to this village turn right at the post office (if it's still there) and follow the signs to the household waste site place.

Like I say, I'll see if I can sort a map tomorrow....

    Just been reading that thread.

Can't believe you've actually been swimming in there! Did you see any flowing water running into it? No, it's been like that for years. Totally stagnent. I'm sure the colour of it has something to do with the household waste site nearby and all the shitty chemicals that are carried through the absorbant soil from the surrounding the area.

We always used to go up there for a smoke, but would I fuck swim in it.

You can't drive your car down to the waterside anymore either by the way. You have to park up by the road and walk down. Unless they've moved the barriers again?

Put this in your sat nav - NE47 5DA

When you get to it turn right and follow the signs to the waste site.

There's some bollards on left hand side of the road at a sharp right turn on the way up. Park there and walk down through the woods.

That should get you there..... I think. Haven't been in ages.

    Map...

When you get to the clearing at the left hand side of the road, park up there and you have to climb over the small log fence..its only knee high though...walk straight down and you are there.....

I think she has got the wrong turn off, if you look on

    http://maps.live.com/default.aspx?v...phx=0&phy=0&phscl=1&where1=ne47 5da&encType=1

it shows that the next turn off leads to a pond type thing, pretty sure that will be it.

Also if it doesn't have running water I wouldn't suggest swimming in it.........

Don't go to the blue lagoon , the police are regularly visiting the area and have threaten arrests, the mess being left by some hasn't helped matter.

I don't think you need to worry about that, this thread is from four years ago... ;)
