I've just been given a whole load of these for free. I'm no expert in vitamins or supplements so are these worth taking in conjunction with a fitness regime?

A nutritionist told my pal it was dangerous to take such supps without doing extreme cardio, even just weights wouldnt work this thru yr system

Can't hurt, typically i'll have a multivit, glucosamine and two fish oil caps each morning. All good for good health in general.

    Omega 3 is important!

I thought multivitamins were only beneficial if you had a vitamin deficit. The effect on someone who does not have a deficiency is minimal and not worth the cost of the vitamins.

That’s what I gathered from all the research I’ve read on it.

Guess it depends on diet et. You get all of it from good diet anyway

But the cost is pretty low...a years supply of 1 a day from zipvit is about a tenner..

    *******accessing data*********

Some people take them religiously every single day and don't notice any effect at all apart from an extra item on the shopping list.

    Generally pointless

I take fish oil every day like. You should see all the supplements the dog and chain takes - she pops more capsules than an aids patient.

And pike, yes I do regular cardiovascular exercise. Took your tip on board about running up hills with a rucksack stacked with pop bottles filled with water. However my girlfriends brother lives couple of thousand feet above sea level - a run up there brings my sea level lungs back down to earth.

And rossy - good to see you back on form being a witty cunt.
