if it upsets a dj.. to the point of not wanting to play, i feel you could then class the messageboard as doing more harm, than good! and if i'm correct this nearly happened with mr kelly.

I know this is a totally different argument but shouldn't DJs be able to take criticism?

that's the point of this thread. constructive crit is one thing insulting someone is a completely different matter.

two points for u:

1) do u have to reply to every thread/post on the board?
2) This wasnt constructive critism, it was blatent slagging off...

The DJ s Promise gets play there for a reason... they re good at their job... so it seems stupid that people on this board who may have messed about on turntables a couple of times start slagging them off... DJs have off days like everyone else, so if a DJ makes a mistake, people shouldnt jump at the dj insulting them. The DJ knows hes done wrong, so why tell him something he/she probs already knows?

If u dont like a particular dj, then keep it to yourself, simple really!

When has Cogan ever slagged off a DJ? Is that why he was banned?

Everyone has there own taste House, Trance.....whatever.

Just because sumthing is not to their own taste doesnt give them any right to call a patricular DJ shit.....I generally prefer house to trance....but i dont go slagging Trance DJ's off......each DJ has their own niche......promise books DJ's to try and keep as many people happy as possible......but it seems that a few go off on one when they arent catered for every week.....hows about everyone grwos up a little bit and gets some perspective or else it will all go down the shitter.
