    The problem for people in Gazza's position (just like George Best before him) is that for every bloke that can understand Gazza's got a problem, realises that drink is killing him and wishes him nothing but the best, there are three daft twats that will buy him a beer "'cos it's Gazza, innit..?" and then whip their phones out.

    Considering the way we celebrate drunkeness these days in the UK, it's not surprising. The fact that much of the media, not to mention a large proportion of the population, can't differentiate between someone having a good time and someone killing themselves is wrong.

    the police usually won't give us the name of the deceased until family are in the know but we usually get round that by saying "named locally as" or "thought to be"..

    Mostly we hold off until we get the nod from the polis.
