Im not that arsed about him getting sacked now, i dont think were in a position at all to be getting rid of anyone and he's done the time for what he did.

I have also been thinking about the likes of Tony Adams / Eric Cantona / Duncan Ferguson all of who'm have been in jail and been released and none of which got sacked from there clubs for what they did granted one was world class and then went on to single handedly win the league for his club a few times.

Its plain to see as well Mike Ashley isnt gonna splash the cash at the moment and what was there Fat Head spent before he got sacked, i dare say Barton at the moment is quite fit as well cos he would of had fuck all else to do in jail so lets get him match fit get him back on the pitch and prove his worth, eventually.

I agree John although I think what he did was shocking.
Hopefully his time in jail has sorted him out a bit.
He's a talented player, he just needs to be kept from the wrong people.

I didnt think i would say it and being a Season Ticket holder myself i only want the best for the club, getting rid of our best players or decent enough players wont help.

I think more worrying is how little Ashley has given this season and its plain to see nowt else is available, the way he goes on as a chairman is laughable as well as mingling with the fans n that cos it means fuck all buying Blu Bambu a full round outa his loose change or Chris Mort's loose change.....

What does matter is what goes on on the pitch and from what i can gather he told some radio station last week he wont be sitting with the fans next season, he's a business man as we have all known for a long long time and is meant to of lost alot of money lately with some mortgages or something he was invovled in so it will be ineresting to see how long before he accepts a decent bid for Newcastle....

Nike have sacked him I cant believe that Newcastle United haven't. Ive been a life long Newcastle fan and go to as many games as I can. I love Newcastle and have had a roller coaster ride over the years with all the highs and lows. This has got to be one of the worst lows at present I am embarrassed to support a club that employs such a violent nasty criminal that has offended time and time again. I didn't realize how bad this attack was until I saw the footage on TV. How can I tell my young son to follow Newcastle when they have made it clear that they will employ any drunken yobbish idiot as long as he is a good player. I for one am not going to attend a match in witch he is playing in EVER.

Did you tell your son about when Emre killed someone in a car crash in Italy or when Kluivert was accused of murder in Amsterdam in his Porche or when Dyer was invovled in a 3 some in Ayia Napa or when Bramble was accused or rape?

Come on man its the fkn 21st century, move on - im pleased Barton chinned the kid cos if he got arrested and got a hiding himself before it it would of been worse, ohh and for the record he is now out of jail....

You need someone who's gonna stick around for a while.
Those yanks we've got in charge are a waste of space imo.
If he sticks around he'll be an asset.

Bungle - As John said, Duncan Ferguson played for ya's.
For fucks sake, Dennis Wise is part of your coaching staff.

I think theres only a handfull of people really give a fuck about this any more. The rest is just yet more shit whipped up by the media. He seemed to knuckle right down at the end of last season and has served his time, why shouldn't we give him another chance? Its not like we didn't know what we were getting into when we bought him was it?

As said, if it was any other player but Barton, and any other club but Newcastle, the media would probably be praising the club for sticking by him and giving him another chance.

Even if he scored the winning goal in the FA cup final for us I would still hate him.

Why should Newcastle United sack him only for another club to sign him & some fucker I am thinking Harry Redknapp here be on SSN saying something like "The boy knows he has done wrong & who doesn't deserve another chance & he can play & he knows he can & thats what we have got to get him doing"

Saw it with Paulo Di Canio where the media kicked up a storm & West Ham benefited by getting a good player very cheap & Sheff Wed.............well it was all down hill from there.

He is a platinum cunt like but on his day a good player also.

Papers are now saying the FA are considering giving him a 15 match ban as he was convicted for a training ground incident, it's not quite the light at the end of the tunnel for joey yet.

Doesn't anyone else think that 15 matches is a bit harsh?

Pinched from the N-O forum but absolutely spot on in my eyes!!

'Quite frankly, I'm sick of being a nice friendly club expected to have morals and fight other people's fight for them. I didn't see Man Utd binning Cantona for attacking a fan, flogging Keane for trying to snap Haaland in half, hoying Rio on the scraphead for missing a drugs test, nor Arsenal jettisoning Adams for being a pisshead and crashing his car into a wall - Luke McCormick has been involved a fatal car crash while drink driving and will rightly be very severely punished but Adams was four times over the limit and it was only by the grace of God that someone wasn't killed.

Where were the Mail's "SHAME ON YOU" headlines then, or when he scored the final goal of the season to wrap up the title? When Cantona came back from his ban to score at the back post and take our title from us? When paedophile Graham Rix was in the Chelsea dugout as Poyet broke our hearts?

This is not our fight and we have nothing to be "ASHAMED" of. I'm tired of nasty clubs having all the glory while we sit with an Intertoto Cup and say "yeah but at least we're good lads." If Barton scores 15 goals next season, great. f*** 'em.'

Sack him?!?! Get a fucking life you tit. Fair enough he did wrong but fuck me we've known for months what he did....you're as bad as the F bastard A!!!
