ai, good one proud - they've basically just proved that promise, no matter how good it was, will never be the same EVER again.

after a string of dissapointments in the past, i dont think i'll bother with it anymore.

(unless magic happens and foundation opens back up)

The sad thing is i know how buzzing you were when you were asked to get involved at the night you attended religiously at Foundation.

It says a lot that before its 3rd monthly event youre asking to pull out already due to the poor organisation and lack of professionalism of the people involved.

That Mark Deakin is a nasty piece of work.

Edit: For the purpose of Mark Deakin - who was apparently quite upset about this comment over the course of the weekend, Mark Deakin is not a nasty piece of work. I did not mean to damage his reputation on google as I have apparently done so.

to me promise died around the nyd 2005 mark

since that date there (from what ive got on my wall..)

-goodgreef and promise bank hol 27th in majestyk in leeds.....that was shite e and from the lineup, promise had less that no involvment.

    -the nyd 07 sea fiasco

-the move to privelage in sunderland

-they even moved to ireland for a bit didnt they ?

and now this, it seems to me deaking is whoring the name around and hoping it succeeds off the back of that with 1/10th of the effort originally put in

A few points about the above

We never moved to privelage in sunderland

The cork gigs were amazing and the only reason they stopped was because the club was sold

And like i keep saying Promise has been running in many differant formats for the last 15 years or so and will continue
Its not a case of whoring it around to make money at all
No individual benefits from the promise nights just the Attic Venue

On a differant note i,d like to apologise to gary for the way this whole situation was handled
It became obvious that only two residents were needed for the night
Early in the night we had commited to a techy/slow warm up and we felt luke was nearer the old Promise sound
However it should have been comunicated better

    So Gary sorry mate ................................

I could have sworn I went to a promise event in privelage, with matt hardwick playing, promise logo about the club and 5 people including me and 1 mate. 1 guy dancing with all of his 7 teeth and 12 brain cells. I wasnt pissed so either there was an event there or they stole the banners and name and contacted matt hardwick and said it was promise then stopped when nneeeeee one went.

 but who am I to say that happened

I think he means they didnt "move" there "permanently"

there was definately at least 1 promise event over sunderland

saying there was no promise event in sunderland is a bit like saying that none of the radio1 weekender tickets ended up on ebay
