Best way to record live sets? Looking for some advice on the best way to record a live set. Don't want to bring a laptop out with me, so can I use an MP3 player? (don't have one, so not sure of the capabilities). The quality needs to be first class. Wouldn't need anymore than 2 - 3 hours recording time. Thanks in advance
You could always try a minidisc or an iriver. Most minidiscs are easier to use as many of them have a small EQ display that allows you to work out how loud the music feed is. Some of the irivers have a line in that allow you to record straight to MP3. You can pick em up on ebay pretty cheap now.

I've got a Sony MP3 recorder type jobbie - plugs straight into the line out and records straight to 192kps - can record 18 hours or something, it's only 2gb - it's class
