i agree that Mac's are canny good - although i have grown up with microsoft - so i would intend to get windows OS.

but actually i dont know - it might be refreshing to have a mac?????

I wouldn't have got my mac if it didn't come with a student discount and VAT free on top of that.

This can run mac and windows programs at the same time. You can find it for free if you look hard enough

    horses for courses innit...

if you've got mac specific software or want to do lots of vid editing or multimedia work, a mac is a good bet.

If you don't have any specialised software and want to use it to store photos, music, and vids, a PC is still all good.

If you get a MAC you can run vista/xp on it via boot camp, so you get the best of both worlds.

And thats as much as I'm prepared to put down, last time this got discussed it started a MAC vs PC penis waggling war

Ive currently got a Dell laptop and its been ace, love it to bits, would recommend them to anyone, no problems at all.

With starting production, and using my laptop for playing I am definitely going to get a Macbook Pro. A big investment but with the sort of power and usability you can get I'm sure it will be worth it..

Saying that, I'm keeping the Dell as Windows is what I'm used to and it probably wont be worth selling!

Thats never a laptop is it

i'm tending towards the Dell range atm, they're knocking out some seriously decent stuff since they took over alienwarez.

and rofl @ Ciaran, just the dodgey way to spell Kieran IMO

tbf - willa and adam are the only ones who spell it right - other people seem to hoy O's and nee E's in willy nilly :)
