Someone was stabbed in the D & B arena and someone else died from a heart attack. Arenas were cancelled last minute due to the weather, other acts were cancelled by GC to save on money, and it fucking pissed down for the whole event. By all accounts was a good night..

It gets even better, posted by 'Ruscool'...

    "Hi, a little worrying.

I guess I am trying to put my mind at rest.

I have this morning what looks like a needle mark in my arm, I remeber a group of lads barging past in the gatecrasher arena at about 11pm on Sunday night but nothing else suspicious.

Sorry if this causes a scare but I thought if something was going on there would be more than on case.

For sure it could just be someone pinched me or a mark from a bite but it dose look an awfull lot like a needle mark.

    Please be open and honest"

What does the lad expect to get back??

"Aye mate that was me, i saw you and you werent wrecked enough so i hoyed some smack in your arm when you werent watching. Sorry for any inconvenience"

I knew it was going to be an absolute shambles like, the last one was bad enough never mind a huge 2 dayer with camping and everything. Sad to hear about the deaths tho.

 at people getting ripped off for VIP camping

As if you expect any good to come from the notes you spend on a VIP wrist band.

I like their attempted defence of having to close the main stage, not have the chemical brothers play...

true... but only if you use a flat fronted stage like they have, rather than what sensible festival organisers would do with their main stage and book a stage with an overhanging front to protect against a bad wind / rain combination being as we live in an island where wind and rain aren't exactly freak weather events.

stages like this one look impressive, but you're screwed if you get even a moderate wind along with the rain, to the point that I really don't understand why anyone uses them anymore when there are so many better options available.

hahaha, thats just a giant wind tunnel!

tbf i'm glad it went bad simply because i wasnt there. if theres good weather at global i'll cry.

really fucking shit having a festival in england. your pretty much risking your financial life just over water and air pressure!

ay - maybe someone told them it had a magic forcefield across it to keep the rain off:lol:

this is what proper bad weather looks like, glade last year we were in the middle of those huge floods, with the site totally cut off by the floods, the entire backstage area under a foot deep river that was running straight through one of the stages... took us about 5 hours to divert the river, pump the stage out, sort the marquee out, dry the electrics & get the stage running... this lot = ameteurs IMO.

He might have been asking if anyone else had found unexplained "puncture marks" in their arms??

..... or have been trying to score some of the same gear.

Its a proper shame like as it was a decent little festival when it was loveleeds at lotherton hall, as soon as gatecrasher took it back over its been downhill ever since... It dosn't look like Scott Bond had the best of weekends as he's been getting hammered on all the boards about his set at the summer sound system and at recycled
