haha.. yup!.. something that also comes with the territory..

however, it can be done discretely with a nod and a sly point and a doorman does the dirty work..

 it'll be like sign language or those blokes at race course!! plus, i'm quite recognisable AND live in wallsend. i'll be in the forum 1 day getting a pasty and i'll be "chivv'd"

    Key
doof of cap, pinch the ear = ugly kid, red coat
rub belly, scratch nuts = fat lass, no knickers

Yes there is - and more importantly we will be doing it in person moving forward - we did it when we opened the club -
but with everything that has been going on this has been difficult to do

We just want some help + feedback and as this board has commented we thought it would be a good idea to give people the opportunity to get involved

As I said in my previous post - this is the first of a series of
consultations we will be asking the board to assist with

I feel like I should stick my hand up and get in amongst it.

I can't remember many problem Shindigs though and I fear that I would put evolve out of business. and I'm scared

most of the people who post on this wouldn't have got into the shindig i remember.

i remember hearing a conversation from doorman to punter saying....

"even if you were wearing exactly the same clothes and had exactly the same hair as this lad. you, my friend would not be getting in anyway because, you. are. a. wanker."

by that rule there i and about 99% of the people should be knocked the faaak back!!!

seriously tho' you can't run a blanket policy on the door to a club with such a "varied" bunch of attendees.

if you ran a shindig policy at say goodgreef then not a single kid would get in. it's all very subjective.

oh and aren't you kind of undermining the door staff a little here?..... right yeah, ok so i know you've had to pay to get a badge to do your job and it's already not particularly glamourous with hardly any perks, and everyone hates you, but i've been on this forum and i've got this kidda who's never worked i a club, never mind on the door, but he's gonna be tellin you what to do....

    power tool the people.

Is this a piss take? April first was yesterday.

Dont you realise its not our job to take affirmative action .... we prefer to sit here and COMPLAIN instead - jeez.

Anyways, whats the chances someone gets their head panned in after turning away someone they dont like the look of? .... We turn up and hand over 15 quid because WE dont want to do that job.

Getting us to pick your clientele that you make a profit out of is laughable!

in fact thinking about it, i would be absolutely fucking livid if i was wax on, turbulence, or any night that had the management dictating who they can let in. hang on one moment, did you not up sticks and leave cos of the "owners" interfering with the running of the show?

Agreed - one of the skills of being a good door picker is to
understand the crowd demographic - the aim is always to keep the worst end of this demographic out

It does not undermine doorstaff - it actually makes their job easier as the issue is then clear cut for them and their is no need for them to make a judgement call

In the first instance the role will be in assistance to one of us who has previous experience of picking

it would be interesting for people to join myself or scooby on the door so they actually see how hard it is to spot a twat.
the obvious knock backs are not the problem here its the alright looking kids who turn into rambo after a pint.

you wouldnt believe how many people we knock back on a saturday night.
