yeah man... i was in that club 4/5 nights a week, every week for more than a year and seeing james zabelia play to 1500 people, all with their hands up in the air... or 1500 people ALL moshing and jumping about to pendulum... it is in fact jawdroppingly amazing

its a beautiful sight man... something special

    Thats brilliant

I saw The Beach Boys and Donna Summer perform to 750,000 people in a park in Philadelphia

They all waved along as she swung her arms around to I Feel Love and then held their hands to their chest as she and they belted out Star Spangled Banner. It was a moment of unrivaled racial unity and reminded me of how great this world we live in really is!

Actually I'd go as far as to say it was up there with that time James Zabiela played in the Digital main room!

you know what i mean though, its similar crack... maybe not on the same scale, but its still amazing. i performed with skream to about 1700 in durham and that was something else for me... similar vibe, that many people all with their hands up going bananas... i love it

Well thanks for making your first post a stupid one.

If I prefer the Bassment over Digital that means I don't have a clue? No, it means I have an opinion.

It's people like you who don't have a clue. You seem as if you need to read reviews from DJ's before you form your own opinion.

There's nothing about Digital that I like more than any other clubs in town tbh. I think the speakers look better than they sound at the end of the day but there'll always be people who go there, hard on in their pants, with the 'Its Funktion 1!!!' mentaility which instantly makes that club the best place to be.

As for larger crowds.. use your brain here? You can fit a much bigger 'crowd' in the bassment than you can in Digital. It doesn't improve the atmosphere knowing that there are people upstairs.

That time Rich Carrick, Sagar and me played to one very enthusiastic middle aged gay man in Camp David was up there for me. Infact it was so good that between mixes I managed to complete Sonic The Hedgehog on my mobile phone.

I wasn't saying that at all. Wasnt trying to say that people who have experience of playing in clubs all over the country and work with difference sound systems agree with me. Therefore just trying to back up my opinion

As for tha well, if you personally think digital is nothing special then that is, as you said, your opinion.
I believe that digital is a fantastic venue and im sure it's in the top nightclubs in the world and 3rd in the country. I think, havent looked at the list recently so correct me if im wrong.

I didnt say that you could fit a bigger crowd in digital to bassment, i was jus giving my opinion on what someone said about a bigger venue not makin a difference.

And no it doesnt improve the atmosphere if you know that people are upstairs, dont think that makes the slightest bit of difference.
Im not slaggin off the bassment at all, ive had some wicked times there. I just think people need to be more grateful at the fact turbulence has been held at such a great venue which is recognized all over the country.

I can't stand the bassment - soundsystem is on its last legs, full of gurning messy kids, the security are fucking pricks and they shut the bar at 2.

ive had some really good times there... but i grew up.

Sounds like Digital to me, apart from they charge £6+ for a Vodka & mixer. I wish they shut the bar at 2 so I could have enough money for the taxi home
