"mate" (notice the use of the inverted commas)

you've been bleating on and taking pot shots ever since september

maybe if you put as much effort into your lineup programming as your baiting of me on here then I may come out of retirement and join you on the dancefloor

    then again.........

    :p

No, exactly the opposite. Users on here obviously care about music, more so than the average punter. My point is that you can't take opinion from here to be accepted opinion of everyone who goes to dance music events.

As has been said earlier the toon doesn't have a big enough clubbing population or amount of venues to support any more than 4-5 successful nights.

So, run forth or jog on or whatever.

Considering I'm not a Londoner, I studied and lived in Newcastle for over 6 years, and went to Foundation nearly every week, I think I'm entitled to my opinion you fucking dick.

And there's nothing sadder than a small time promoter of a shit club night discussing the finer points of the Newcastle club scene.

    innit:rolleyes:

actually fuck it, I may as well join in.

melt - what's this sudden obsession with fields and slagging off clubs all of a sudden?

I'm struggling a bit here because I don't think I can remember you ever, even once, actually doing an event in a field, and elsewhere on here when James says he'd be up for helping do something in a field with you, you backtrack and remember you're retired. Bottom line, if you're going to do some parties in fields then go and do them (and you know I'd be up for getting involved if done right) if not then stop spouting off on here eh.

<<< this post written by someone who actually has done lots of events in fields, beaches, forests, warehouses, parks, and lots of club nights.>>>

crikey this one is set to just run and run, there's more smaller nights now in the toon than I think can ever remember in the last 10years,

off the top of my head nights that are going in the toon that are not at digital:

    nice
    curves
    suono
    habit
    Hooked
    jaunt
    Morning Sickness
    error
    freaky dancing
    exhibit A
    Absorb
    simpler
    Newcastle Underground
    Alcatraz
    Jukebox
    Black Magik
    Road to rimini
    Illuminati
    Deviate
    Hareem
    Off the Cuff

10 years ago nights that went on in the toon that weren't at the riverside

    nice
the odd one off's here and there at whq and the unis/mayfair

can't think of any others right now:lol:

Nobody, I've only been going out clubbing for about 10 years. I don't remember the spirit of '89 (well I do, but it was all about Transformers for me) and I've never put a night on, nevermind in a field!!!!!!!!!!!!! Pleb.

true though ten years ago you either went to the riverside or nice to see a guest from outside the toon or you went and saw locals play at rockshots or whq and that was it as far as I can remember apart the odd one offs here and there mainly hip hop or drum and bass things at the unis

was there maybe a spell around the start of the millenium when satalite, foundation, rockshots, whq and scotland yard were all open at once? maybe then there was more things on than now for prehaps a fortnight beofre they all started closing

ok, so why the agro then? that's about the 3rd -4th unprovoked dig at me you've had in less than 2 months on here.

are you by any chance the twat who's name I forget who was doing the same on the northeastclublife boards a while back?

do you have the balls to actually say who you are, or are you only able to play the big man when you're an anonymous internet dweeb?
