This is a rumour ive heard....not sure if its true but.......

The council revoked the licence as Digital applied for a simular one after seeing how popular the 1st Morning Sickness was.

The council took the usual dimm witted view of ' Oh fuck its getting out of hand this late licence thing' and because they knocked Digital back then they had to use the same rule for Gossip.

    Thanks Digital!

typical council. it's so backwards thinking up here - they have to have their hands FORCED into any new ideas... then they pull it.

    Newcastle is shit.

Take the love Parade all them years ago for instance, such a fukin hoo-har then in the end, Newcastle Council pulled it & North Tyneside Council put on a poor equivalent on the Lynx in Whitley Bay sea front.

We hav fuck all going after hours wise up here & is a shame that this has been nipped in the bud early doors. If there were constant reports of noise/drugs/trouble then I could see there point... but there wasn't:spangled:

I think the Council up here need to wake up & relise that crime, arrest rate, drunken related incidents around town are by the very clubs that they support, costing them thousands each week to staff the streets with Police. With nights like this I can never understand why they kill the idea thinking that things are going to get out of hand when there all like-minded people who go to such things like this & the chances of any trouble etc... are probably zero.

True - but they don't look very nice when you're out getting the sunday papers:lol:

I don't think it's just newcastle though, a lot of afterhours events down here seem to be having a later start. Public Life now doesn't open til 10am on a sunday...
