Is there any way to take all my money out the bank at once?

I NEEED to take all my savings out the bank tommorow to buy something lovely that I've been saving for. My mam says that the bank (halifax) will limit how much I can take out. I need it in my HSBC tommorow, is there any way to go about this?

Surely they can't keep my money!

I'm sure halifax have a limit to how much you can take out, you need to give them 5-7 days notice when you want to withdraw all your savings, it depends on which savings account you have?

I know my little ones saving account has a limit of 100quid in one withdrawl and I need to give 7 days notice of anything above that, it will be different for an adults saving account tho.

    Check on the website

not sure about halifax, but you can do this with lloyds. Jay withdrew £2000 on saturday without informing them, he took his passport and they didn't even look at it

My kid got £3000 out in cash from lloyds. then walked down the street with it and put it into his halifax account without any trouble. Think he took identification though.

Yeah, take ID, and be prepared for questions like "Where were you born?" and "Whats your mums maiden name?"

The woman in Halifax said it would take a bankers draft and clear instantly.

The woman in HSBC said I had to wait four days.

    Fucking cunts.

were you paying INTO the bank? a banks draft is as good as cash - i've used them to buy a car b4 - but they charge you 20 quid...

Yes, HSBC said it will take four days. I'm fucking pissed off.

Halifax didn't say anything about a charge mind, if they've charged me I'll shake my fist and point violently next time I walk past the window.

That fills you with confidence, going into a bank and having people who do the banking guessing at answers about banking lol
