go scottish ? hi folks, just been browsing about this board due to someone coming on to RATT message board the other day. Must say only heard a little about promise but quite impressed with the line ups etc. I do most of my clubbing at Ratt in scotland but have strayed down south a few times for some big events. Just wondered if you guys have ever used any scottish dj's or plan to ? I know there is an abundance of talent in England but im sure you could book a few good scottish dj's who would also do a fine job for you. Guys like PAUL MENDEZ, COLIN TEVENDALE AJ who all play Ratt main room would do you a great turn or even JON MANCINI or MARTIN MALONE for your house room. Quality dj's who have all been around the scene for a while. noticed on a post on the Ratt board one of your ressies have played RATT before and sure he'd have nothing but praise for these guys who he may have played along side, im sure a few would travel down too ! MR MENDEZ WOULD CERTIANLY DO A TURN IN YOUR MAIN ROOM.
No disrespect mate but i aint even heard of any Scottish DJ's - no doubt the names u have mentioned are all good like but none of them are recognised to me !!!
I've either heard of, or heard all of those lads play and they are the biggest names in scottish DJ circles. Think Malone and Mendez are ressies at R.A.T.T. and you'll find Mendez' name on many a production coming in from Holland etc. You can usually find some of them playing on Beat 106

MENDEZ would probably be the best known and if you like your trance this guy has been involved in so many tunes recently its hard to believe, he has done stuff under many different names and is responsible for quality tracks with MIKE, JOHAN, LOST WITNESS & JACOB and MENDEZ. (tracks include SVENSON & GEILAN - TWISTED and EXPOSURE - MAGIC IMPULSE The problem is tho theres that many dj's your side of the border nobody really looks to scotland, but I can assure you any of the mentioned guys would certianly do it for you. ps. RATT'S CAPACITY IS OVER 3000 you dont do a club like that if u aint good but what I will say and you will have seen it in the past, some of the guest dj's booked aint half as good as the residents and some are just pish and get more work off there production skills other than there dj skills.
Mendez is a quality DJ, heard a few of mixes when i have been up in scotland, and he has done alot of Production work with some top Euro producers. Probably wouldnt pull many crowds headlining, but warming up before someone would be good Mendez
