it's a terrible shame and a tragedy. I only met him a few times like a lot of people it seems, at Sunday Trading a few times and on the bus for GG, but we'd say hi and have a quick chat. He seemed like a really canny lad and genuinely friendly.

I saw him sat night, but across the room and didn't get a chance to say hi. Really wish I had now.

    RIP Russel

I cant even begin to imagine the pain his family and friends are goin thru at this time. They have all my support and he has all my respect for bein such a popular colourful dedicated clubber. A vital loss to us all.

Big Thanx to everyone on this thread.

i never met russell but i was @ GK on sat. night, i was saddened to hear the news, i can tell from all of the fond memories people have of him, from the pictures & the kind words said that he must have been one of those `special people` who only had good in their heart, the world will be a darker place without you, i hope you are having fun now in a much better place, you will be missed....R.I.P

Russell was infamous for his ability to make friends with anyone he spoke to.
I first met him a while back when i didn't know any of you lot and was just the little bloke people saw about. Instantly it was like talking to someone who was a old friend and you had known for ages. I think anyone who has spent five minutes in his company knows this.
It is a tragic loss but the fact that so many have spoken out in remembrance bears witness to his personality and frendliness.

    R.I.P buddy.
see you on the other side.

i think those picutre sum up russel nicely - always smiling and up for a laugh!

this is nothing short of a tragedy that really makes you think about how precious life is.

sadly i don't think i'll be able to make it tomorrow but my thoughts will be with his family at this difficult time.

This sad, tragic news has shocked us all. Russell always seemed happy and always had a smile for everyone. It won't be quite the same without him.

    Sweet dreams babe. xx
