is it true that his heart was enlarged due to him being at the peak of physical fitness???

used to work with a triathlete who said that these endurance cyclists used to have enlarged hearts and if they stopped cycling for more than a few days they would have cardiac arrest like , used to think it was an urban myth but maybe not

Nah, the heart can be strengthened through cardio.

An enlarged heart indicates that the heart is working far harder than normal to do the job it would normally. There's a number of possible causes, including genetic predisposition, lack of exercise, high blood pressure, faulty valves, and so on.

Can you please expand on this hilarious comment please.

Do you think EVERYONE who is ill should have prayers said for them across the globle and Christiano Ronaldo wearing his name on a shirt plus a twitter campaign???

    IF NOT

Then explain why? Is it because hes a failed Arsenal reserve?

    Cant wait for your replys

@ Ash, tbf there probably was a lot of fuss when Foe collapsed, but we probably didnt hear as much about it as he wasn't English / based in the UK at the time

@ Congay, I suppose you've got no sympathy for Stillian Petrov either???

For example, if someone at your place of work took ill, and there was a whip round for them, etc, it's the same thing, just on a larger scale

Nice to see footballers not being dicks for once, don't know why you have a problem with it to be honest, you;re not even a proper football fan anyway

Pardon me for having some sympathy for the lad, poor lad will probs never play again

Petrov hasnt received a quarter as much publicity, WHY? No candels and no mass arm bands, just his club as far as i heard. Did it even trend on twitter for fucks sake?

Bobby Mumbaba had half the world grieving crocadille tears, WHY???

Is his disease more worthy? A sudden heart attack or a long and debilitating illness that could stirp petrov of every morsel of self-respect and let him wither before his family and die? Horrible. But not as worthy and a poor poor black immigrant who collapses of a heart attack?

I wish both men well but I want answer why one is more worthy of sympathy than the other.

"But not as worthy and a poor poor black immigrant who collapses of a heart attack?"
What a backwards world we live in - my thoughts exactly when reading the ridiculous comment above.

Muamba incident was publicized more because it happened whilst being broadcast in the middle of a football match with thousands around watching -

from the chelsea villa match when the news broke - "Players from both teams wore T-shirts bearing the words "Our Thoughts Are With You" during their pre-match warm-ups and Petrov received sustained applause in the 19th minute – he wears the No19 shirt – from both sets of supporters. "

So your saying the fact hes a famous football means he DESERVES more sympatyhy and heart felt "get well's" for millions.

What about the Killie players dad who DIED during a televised football match?

Ps and I did say Petrov was hounered at his OWN CLUBS GAME so i dont know why your pointing that out (again)

for all we know, that could have been mentioned / covered a lot in Scotland

I really don't see why you have a problem with this, was good to see 'the football community' rallying around something good for once instead of being idiots

Totally pointless comparing this to soldiers getting killed in Afghanistan, as i'm sure 'the military community' rallies around in much the same way to this as the the 'football community' did with Muamba, you just don't hear as much about it is it's more of a closed situation

    - No I'm saying it was publicized more as it was live on tv at the time

you also said " just his club as far as i heard" - I quoted the other bit i did as it also included the chelsea squad -

    > I don't understand why you mentioned the poor poor black immigrant bit - it doesn't really have anything to do with the situations lol
