Why would he want to go to a lower division - surely can't be just because of Allardyce, although Allardyce will be loving that. I'm sure it was quoted that all £30 million would be spent this summer from Carrols transfer. I'd be suprised if that is the case, but how many more players will be sold
i think west hams pitch is a bit smaller so he hasn't got as much ground to cover for half the season.
Guardian Article http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/2011/jun/15/newcastle-west-ham-kevin-nolan?CMP=twt_gu
It is understood that the preference of the midfielder Nolan, who earns about £42,000 a week on Tyneside, was a regular salary over four years that would have taken him to his 33rd birthday, as he turns 29 next week. Nolan, who scored 12 Premier League goals from central midfield last season, is due to sign at West Ham for a deal said to be worth £55,000 a week with the length of the contract unclear. I wouldn't of given him a 4yr contract either
already is when you look at these figures http://www.transferleague.co.uk/league-tables/2006-2011.html
Deal done - if hes on slightly higher wages to get man of the match every game then that will be a factor, and has obviously ruled himself out of a big club transfer or England, and Newcastle are not going to win anything for a while so makes more sense thinking about it
apprently he was offered 50k a week, thats crazy. NUFC did well getting shot he was DIRE year before last
in two years time nolan would be wank and scoring no goals. i say good business getting shot now despite the fact that he banged twelve in, he hasnt got the legs to last another 5 years in the premiseship. the one thing we will miss is him pulling the dressing room together. i would let enrique go if a big fee comes in, then put to use some of the money that ashley has. I would keep barton though otherwise where is the service going to come from.
Where are the big money transfers - from what I see so far, the intention seems to be lost in spending the £30 million Ashley said he would spend this summer - in fact the complete reverse has took place, more money has been made selling players so far
Newcastle are going to rock next season, good signings and for some reason the dressing room seems tight. I expect em to start like last season with massive balls no fear. I predict a top half of the table finish and that they do the double over Blunderland
as long as we have ben aaaarfa, tiote, keep barton etc.... another half decent striker would be good as lovenkraans ameobi etc dont cut it..... sunderland dont have a decent midfield at all and have sold their best 2 players, BENT and henderson. why doesntr the north eats wake up, our two main teams are distinctly wank / average but at least we arent as wank as boro. thing is NEWCASTLE will always get higher attendences than sunderland FACT and if an arab sheikh or qatari business man withy more money than sense wanted to buy a north east club let me tell you it wouldnt be scumberland or boro. the best both teams can hope for is to win one of the cups and if toon do sunderland 2nd game into the season i will be happy
