I've had a little idea you know on the events bit where it has the venue of the event. How about being able to click on the venue and it showing a little description of the venue with some pics and a map etc?

It might be possible to do it - I'll look into that.

If you choose not to create a thread when you create an event, it does pull up a map of where the venue is, plus a facebook style attending/not attending menu, for example: http://www.nucastle.co.uk/index.php?events/1/

never knew that. But why is it only when you do not create a thread? does that mean if someone creates a thread then we can't click attend on it?

Yeah, it works one of two ways:

    1) You fill in all of the details and click "create thread". It then pops an event on the event page. Anyone clicking on that event gets redirected to the thread.

    2) You fill everything in and don't click "create thread". It then creates the facebook-style event and doesn't link it to anything. Anyone clicking gets the event display.

Thats why it shows up like that for the Warped event - Ant had already created a thread for the event before I migrated the board over. I didn't want it creating two threads for the same event

Shame it won't do both and display at the top of the thread who is attending. I'm going to look at changing it to that though.

Still having post problems - now not only does it take ages, but the page doesn't refresh after posting so it looks like nothing happened.

Looking into it now, whatever's causing it is a right pain in the arse as it's cropping up intermittently [IMG]

Bear with it for now, it looks like everything/everyone is posting correctly, just seems to be taking ages for the screen to refresh.

Right, the kind folks at Xenforo have pointed me in the direction of adjusting a few settings and it seems to be a lot better when I post using Safari or Chrome.

Can anyone else who's had problems with this try posting over the next 24 hours and let me know if you have any problems. Cheers :)

gotta try to sort this. It's going to kill the board if it takes 20 secs a post. I can't be arsed waiting

The problem isn't the posting. From what I've seen your reply is posted instantly and the wait is to refresh the page.

I'm still looking into it :)
