    Wireless Broadband Help

Having a bit of bother with a mates home Wireless connection.

I am not particularly in the know with wireless stuff so I could use some help.

    The setup:

Wireless Router, connected to a phone line (ADSL)

Then the PC connects to the router to get online....obviously, and connects wirelessly.

The problem is that it is a multi user pc, and only administrators can actually get onto the net becuse of apparent permission problems, which cannot be changed, its either Admin, or Limited on XP Home.

So how will I overcome this?

I think its to do with the encryption, cos it prompts other users of the PC for a Key, but it does not ask admins for this key.

Obviously this must have happened before. Is there a way to define allowed users or somethin?

Its BT Yahoo Wireless Broadband, with a Voyager 2000 Router with built built in DSL modem.

    Ta :)

You prob just need to put the wireless key onto each of the none-admin users accounts. Then it should work.

Yeah I believe that is what the problem is.

I turned off the Encryption as a test and it worked on all accounts, so obviosuly it's something to do with Authentication.

Hopefully it should just be a case of getting the keys in and that will be it.

    Cheers :)
