Water Infection

My friend has had this now for nearly a week (don't think it's cystitis becasue she doesnt have any burning sensations) and on Sunday night she couldn't even sleep because of it. All throughout monday she was having to goto the toilet every 5minutes and the anti-biotics she was on were doing nothing to help. We went to the hospital on Monday night and they gave her some different ones and shortly after taking one things seemd to get a lot better and she got a decent night of sleep. Today though she says it's bad again and it's making her really depressed. The hospital said come back in 4 days if it's not gone.

Has anyone else had this before? Looking on websites for tips hasn't really helped. Can certain diets help with this? IMO she's really not a healthy eater at the best of times cos she's quite fussy and is a vegetarian so I was wondering if this could have something to do with it. She's getting really depressed about it.

TBH if i was her i wouldnt wait around for 4 days tell her to get back in touch with her doctor and get an emergency appointment my cousin had a similar one and it fucked her up royally she kept passing out without knowing why and it was down to a water infection

cystitis has fairly similar symptoms as chlamydia and stuff like non specific urethritis... dont wanna worry your friend. might be a trip to gum on the cards like...

Demand an emergency appointment why exactly? She can't just say that someone on a msg board told her to (no offense ). You know what they're like though, if you've already seen a doctor and been told to wait for 4 days, that's basically what u have to do. All she's doing atm is pissing every 5-10mins she isn't feeling dizzy or anything though.

As for the STI's.. nada.

Most doctors should have an emergency surgery or go to the walk in centre next to Central Station id get it seen to before it escalates

Get it seen to in what way? She's been to the hospital twice now within a week. On Monday they told her to give it 4 days to clear itself up.. surely this is professional advice.

Yeah they are professionals but theyll tell you anything to ge rid of you

if anti biotics havent cleared it up how come itl clear up in 4 days?

When have anti biotics ever cleared something up in a day? You get a set amount to take over a set amount of time
