practice, practice, practice, practice, practice, practice, practice, practice!

find yourself an angle, get your name known, spank out loads of demos, get to know the right people, never get wrapped up in club politics, never forget that its all about the party and never stop believing in yourself.

    good luck:)

The best way to think of DJing and the way I look at it for myself is 'if it happens, it happens ... if it doesnt its no big loss'.

If you're chilled out but yet positive about it things will happen for you. Yes it takes time and possibly a few knock backs but if you really go for it and you've got the talent and marketablity then who knows where it could take you.

    :)

if you have been playign since 12 and are still not good, then you just dont have the knack... if you have only started a year or two then practise is the only key

At the end of the day, it literally ALL comes down to "getting to know the right people"

If you are half decent on the decks (or even if you arn't in some cases!!) and know the right people then that will help your dj career no end.

Don't want to piss on your dream but from experience it's not just a case of getting good on the decks. If you don't know people then you are nothing.

Tread carefully, but all the best!

    How long u been djing?

you just have to practice loads mate, for me tho it was all about the image, the scarf and wristbands were the main point of focus, once i had the image i was straight into the thick of things, mixing it with the finest the world had to offer, they were the days

Well from your posts on the goodgreef board id say your best bet and the first thing you need to do is go get a clue.

Firstly, drop the "DJ" bit, as it's more than a little old fashioned. Secondly, I'd rethink the "Project" bit as well, as it has already been used many times. You need something original that will set you apart and make people remember you as an individual, rather than associate you with someone else (I guess Scot Project in this case).
