    this thursday

    the radio 1 one big weekend @ sunderland line up gets released on scott mills breakfast show :cool2:

    anyone know if its just the bands, or does the DJ line up get released then too??

    and did i read that promise were hosting a stage on the dance day, or were involved with it somehow?? anyone any ideas?? :D

    They were saying on the radio today that its the biggest line up they have had so far, the other events had some pretty big names for both the dance days and band days:D

    dont think its common knowledge its at sunderland yet, the full details arent released until thurs. wonder where it will be tho, sea front?? :confused:

    no offence to anyone who lives in sunderland, but why would they pick it? doesnt make much sense to me

    loads of reasons, its neighbouring city is newcastle, a lot bigger, a lot more well known, much publised nightlife, a lot more accessible, etc

    newcastle is not bigger

    isnt that much more accessible (metro/train/bus links to here from everywhere)

    just cant understand why ppl wud think sunderland couldnt have something like this.

    we're the biggest city in the north-east...not as well known as newcastle....but if people know howto get to newcastle...they can get here :up:

    i dont think its a case of thinking sunderland couldnt handle or have it, but newcastle seems the more suitable location

    but they have already proved once they cant handle a big event like this. so as lee (i think) said...they probably werent even considered?
