This forum... Needs a kick up the arse like if its going to be worthwhile having it, seems to have died a death recently with the amount of posts and feedback on peoples tracks. How about a remix comp for anyone interested having a go at remixing each others tracks? Doesnt even need to be a competition, we could all just stick up some track parts and people can post their attempts at remixing with them... Thoughts?
Graham, I totally agree mate. There's been a few good tracks put up with very little feedback. Even some amazing mixes by members go, or at least it seems, totally unnoticed.
if i had the time id do some remixs or even post alot up . ive got a big than jesus remix to finish , got the parts 3 years ago and a 1 from steve linney , got that 2 years ago. lol 95% , just need final touches . so no point me doing any
gonna sound like a right tool here but i haven't a clue when it comes to remixing things and stuff like that, what programs do you use? is it just ableton and the like?
Good stuff about a few being up for it Zegermans - yeah mate any sort of production software really, ableton, logic etc etc. Anything that you can make music on!!
i've always wondered how you go about doing a remix, as in where you get the required samples/files from would be good givin it a go
Ive got a few remix packs that i can upload for anyone interested in just having a play about with. Basically when you are remixing a track the label will send you a remix pack with all the individual track parts included to use in your remix. (not that i know from personal experience ) I always look out for remix competitions from labels on beatport and the internet in general, as they have the remix packs to download for the competition which are good to have a mess about with. The ones that i have from memory are King unique - Dirty, Tenaglia - Music is the answer, Nic Fanciulli - Lazio and possibly a few others. Theres also a good group on facebook that i have joined and they have loads of different acapellas and samples as well, ill stick the details up here when i get back home

Working on a few new things at the min to send to a label plus into the guts of previous stuff I've posted on here to fix up & send off, but if anyone would like a trance remix done I'd gladly knuckle down n get to work on one
