Ive seen most of them djs play promise in the old days. the truth is i doubt promise ould still exist if they continued to book those djs! they were hardly making any money out of those nites!

The Anthony Pappa night when he played a 3hr set was unreal, one of the best Promise nights for me, also the night he was on before Matt H, one of the hardest prog warms ups ive heard....

i know a lot of these djs didnt fill promise, but neither do a lot of todays
johan gielen wasnt busy, and i was surprised at how quiet matt hardwick was last night
it just shows if they arent a household name, people in newcastle arent prepared to investigate.
same as tonight, i doubt it will be any fuller than when people like anthony pappa, max graham etc played.
its just more people on this board want yoji biomehanika than jimmy van m, and thats why they play now

lets also remember promise never started out as a pure underground unfiltered untampered prog club :p

Keeping any weekly clubs numbers up is a huge task theres always going to be quiet night.. however if u played a months owrht of hard trance nights and a months worth of prog nights - I guess the prog would be much quieter nights.

Re: Re: these DJ's have all played promise

the point im trying to make is some of the nights now with the new music policy are no busier than the prog nights, johna gielen wasnt very busy, and it wasnt rammed for matt hardwick 5hrs either.
the new music policy doesnt mean the club is at capacity does it?

i know he played, and nick warren, dave seaman, anthony pappa, i was just listing the smaller names that once played promise.

i wish dave and nick would play again, i know daves at the bd, but he aint gonna headline is he?

I couldn't believe how quiet it was when hardwick was on, maybe something to do with valentine's day.
I think the best thing to do is get the right balance between the more serious prog and the more hands in the air trance
