The theatre What shows have you all been to see at the theatre?? I've only ever seen Mama Mia in London and loved it, i even cried at the end!! :laugh: (i'm emotional!!!) Just booked up to see Cats @ the Empire in Liverpool in nov, cant wait! I really wanna see Joseph, Grease, We Will Rock You...actually i wanna see them all, so no point listing them!!
i recently went to see "Brum and the Big Blue Diamond Mystery" at the Tyne Theatre Production values were very poor to say the least, poor stage sets and a small, but willing cast of 4 played all the roles. Most dissapointing of all was the fact they didn't even have the real 'Brum' - it was a cheap copy that hardly moved. the songs were also uninspiring and they also expected you to buy the crap tatty programs at the end just to get the last penny from your kids. Overall - poor. Conclusions : Productions at the Tyne Theatre - 2nd Rate - Stick with stuff at the Theatre Royal - Hopefully "Lazytown - The stage show" should live up to the hype.
I've seen We Will Rock You in London. I really enjoyed it. Think that's it though. FYI, the Sunderland Empire put on West End musicals on a regular basis.

I really want to see Grease and Mama Mia. Might do a theatre weekender sometime soon! Went to see Scrooge and Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, and the latter was amazing! Couldn't believe the all round production of it all. Aaron absolutely loved it!

The best thing to do is just to buy them on the day in Leister Sq at one of those half price ticket booths. (i think anyway!!). Also if you go for the matinee shows they're usually cheaper
Wouldn't want to risk going down there and not getting a ticket though. Treating my Mam and Dad for xmas!
If your not fussed about what you want to see its ok. But for the big shows your best just booking up early off ticketmaster or something.....Saying that we tried to book up off there for while i'm off during Oct half term and it says tickets aint on sale yet Thats a well nice present :clap:

dear me thats quite an academic's selection. however " Who's afraid of Virginia Woolf", "The Glass Menagerie" "Othello" and "Midsummer Night's Dream" ive been to see. along with stuff i studied at college like streetcar named desire and measure for measure.
