    The Dreem Teem

What the fuck's the crack here then?

Put Radio1 on the other night, was greeted by some (IMHO) cheesy House music.
Even more surprised was I when I heard the Dreem Teem talking in their 'bling' accents.
What the hell is going on here? Weren't they at the forefront of the UKGarage scene a couple of years ago?

I'd heard of these 'Urban House' nights happening at the likes of Pacha and other 'cool' clubs in London with all the UKG crew playing, but figured it was still something to do with UKGarage!
Fucking Urban House?! Since when? Most of the shite I heard the other night was fucking US, nothing to do with popping caps in ppls asses in the hood or any of that shit!

The number of people jumping on the House bandwagon at the moment is unreal. The whole industry is a fucking joke. You've got glamour models, boy band members, everyone but fucking DJs being DJs!
Why? Because the likes of Hed Kandi have made House music 'cool'

Fucking joke, pisses me right off the diluted shite that people call House now. I even heard the other day that Scot Project is playing House now!

Then these monkeys fill up the clubs and don't give chances to those that've been in the game sicne day one.
    Pathetic.

    Rant over

Didn't mean me with the 'day one' comment.

There are just producers and DJs out there that have been at the top of their game before Scot Project and The Dreem Teem even started DJing that are still regarded by some as 'nobodies', because these goons are filling up the clubs and airwaves.

Jimmy> To be fair that may have been someone winding me up
Wouldn't surprise me in the slightest if it was true though, look at Eddie Halliwell, Rob Tissera, etc, etc.

Theyve always played US Garage ("urban House") on theier sunday night show. Uk Garage always incorporated a house style, look at some of the Early Garage comps, they al included house tunes. AVH made loads of speed garage tune which rocked house clubs.

    Its all house.

I don't think it's the same market of people that would go to the clubs me or you would or that there taking the gigs and airwave space you mentioned.

It's all commercialisation and it's been happening since the likes of Judge Jules started to 'make it' big.

It all comercialism allie, they appeal to a big general market which most radio and clubs aim at, and they need to find something new to play now...

    ...UK Garage is dead

Aren't they standing in for Dave Pearce so are playing a playlist rather than their own choices. They're more like daytime radio DJs now, hasn't their sunday morning show been axed?
