Suono / Tokyo 4th Birthday Party Sunday 6.7.08 with MUDD

Due to unforeseen circumstances we have to announce that Ashley Beedle has cancelled his appearance at Tokyo / Suono's Birthday Party.

But we are more than happy to announce that in his place, we welcome Paul 'Mudd' Murphy to Newcastle for his Suono debut,

'Mudds' early production days as part of "Akwaaba", saw their own dubbed out spin on the traditional house sound find it's way to the attention of NYC legend Francois Kevorkian, who licensed their track ‘Jus’ Pilau’ for his Essential Mix Compilation.High praise indeed!!!.

Paul's more recent cutting edge take on the house and disco sound has seen him release records on such labels as Big Bear, Noid and Rong - as well as putting out some sublime, Summer friendly music as Smith And Mudd on his own Claremont 56 label. As a DJ he can be found at his own Silver Bob's Meltdown night, plus revered nights such as Aficionado and Who's Afraid Of The Cosmic Truth, playing the choicest selection of mid tempo disco and balearic oddities!!

So please join us on the terraza all night, as we banish our Beedle blues and celebrate our's and Tokyo's birthday!!... It wont rain, we wont nearly kill the DJ this year.....we promise!!

Oh yeah it’s also Dano and Tony Suono’s birthday party, so get the Sambucca’s in!!

    Sunday July 6th 2008.

    Tokyo, Westgate Road.

    5.00pm - 12.00am. FREE ENTRY.

    Half Price Cocktails ‘til 8pm.

Bottles of Stella £2.50 all night.

anyone who opens a mix with the original rather than the mark e remake of baby I'm scared of you and follows it up with big hitters like Revelation "Feel it" later in the mix is cool with me:cool2:

Imo Mudd is more suono than Beedle anyway and will be a balearic blinder up on the terrace and another one to cross of the cosmic checklist :cool2: :cool2:

regarding tracks for the mix I'm sure the Weatherall mix of "Only Love Can Break Your Heart" was a track I remember getting serious rotation in the early days of suono on the tokyo terrace, "Eminence Front" did blow the tits off the place when Kelvin Andrews played it back then too but maybe it's had too much play since to be on the mixes?
