could have been, but was in for picotto too and not as many sitting. The start of van burren was very tedious but i have to admit did get better, was quite pleased that the first tune dropped or one of the first was solar stone- seven cities.
I wasnt impressed at all by the Judge, was pleased he played fuct camera and cosmic gate mix of punk (though it gets played all the time, i still like to hear it)
Was very impressed by Eddie tho!
    :D

I thought it was remarkably gimp-less. Then again I only spent all of 2 seconds in the Gatecrasher Arena.

Thought the bars were a bit crap - only Bud, Strongbow or Reef when I definitely had my drinking spirits head on.

Groove Armada were excellent, as were Danny Tenaglia, Sasha & Digweed and Lee Haslam.

I liked the wooden flooring in the Bed and Bedrock tents - meant my legs didn't get quite as tired as it made the floor even and slightly sprung.

Putting Fergie on last is weird.

    GC have lost the plot.

Chems rocked it! wow wow wow fukkin wow, was expecting a lot off them and they still blew me away totally. Massive sounds, all their choons were just much bigger and better than CD version. Visuals were incredible, they do stuff with lights that I've seen no-one else come anywere near doing, last 15 minutes I (how should I put this?) started seeing stuff that only me was seeing, the big backdrop suddenly went completely 3D and the patterns/colours were flying out from like miles away, through Tom and Ed and right into the audience... OMG was awesome.

tis sooooooo easy to criticise (which I'm gonna do in a bit) but I had a mmmint time at GCSSS, thought the main arena was damn good, the lighting was superb, sound system was decent enough, most the other tents I saw were good unall, lighting in the tent Tenaglia was in was mint un all. The sets I saw were fukkin excellent, Oakey was easy the best DJ set, followed by Tiesto, Van Dyk (not too sure if it was him I saw though) and AVB, and caught some mint sets in the Tidy tent, Signum (new Scott Project choon) and Lee Haslam stand out. Danny Tenaglia looked superb, went in to see him a couple times, Chemical Brothers were worth the £100+ just by themselves, but best bit was the ppl we were with, just wish I'd seen more of them during the night :(

on the downside though, what a fuck up about the Carl Cox tent, summik's up there I think. I've been looking on the GC site but they've said NOTHING about that at all. Plus I hate the way you get ripped off at every chance, £5 to park cars, £5 for cloakrooms, £5 for programmes which were jusrt wrong! Why can't they put programmes outside each tent which can then be easily changed so at least ppl know who's on when... only reason is so GC can rip ppl off as much as possible.

GC are getting arrogant as fuck, think they can treat the punters and ppl like Carl Cox with no respect at all, not even apologising or explaining what went on and blatantly profiteering as much as possible while doing it.

I reckon (and hope) GC won't be around too much longer, the way they're going on they're gonna alienate their own loyal supperters and the rest of the industry. Seem to think that just cos they're GC and who they WERE they can do wjat the fuck they like and get away with it, i think they'll get a shock pretty soon, and if reports that they only sold 22,000 tickets for SSS then it's happening now.

Fact is GC had it right a few years ago but have now gone totally corporate, and rely on their "brand" to continue. What they've forgotten is that everything they have achieved is through the fan loyalty they built up over the years. Going monthly will destroy that and they'll never get it back. There is no way that the next generation of clubbers will fall for the corporate shit that they're churning out and GC will get shat on from a great height by the likes of GK, Passion and the like and good fukkin riddance. Be glad to see the back of the arrogant twats :D

    rant over

betcha GKGG is miles better :D

    ... and I didn't even mention Candywax.

There was drug tests on drivers leaving, saw 1 guy pulled over, with 3 cops round him, touching his nose and walking a line. Imagine how much that would shit you up getting pulled over if you're in even a little bit of state
