    Stanton Final Scratch

Ive had one pre-ordered for ages now and mine arrived into the country last month.

Was skint tho so had to put me order on hold

Anyway, I get paid on wed and was gonna buy it. Would be £395, £100 off cos I pre-ordered.

Was just wondering if anyone knows the crack?

Is it worth the money? From wot I can see its a bloody godsend. Wont stop me buying vinyl! Will just mean I can get hold of tunes I otherwise wouldnt be able to get on vinyl. Classics, brand new stuff, etc.

    Any feedback appreciated.

I suppose I always have the 14-day piece of mind guarantee to try the thing out for myself and return it if its gash!! :D

    Hmmmmmmm......

    Quote from djstore.co.uk's help section......

    Can I return a product ?

You can buy in confidence from DJ Store. If you find the product you have bought is not suitable for you, or you are simply unhappy with it, you can return it to us within 7 days.
We will refund the money you paid, less the cost to us of delivering the goods to you, within 28 days of the date the goods were returned to us.

The goods must be un-opened, un-used, and in their original packaging, complete with any supplied accessories.

Software and recorded music can not be returned.

    -------

Not happy about the "un-opened" but like....how the fuck can u try summit, decide you aint happy with it, if you cant open it?!!?!?

Al be havin words before I buy it to make sure they will accept it back if I dont like........

    Most likely not.

Thing is £395 is a lot of money to pay for something i MAY not like/have too many probs with.........

Rather have piece of mind that i can return if unhappy......

Been looking into this piece of kit for well over a year now... Global DJ Centre are the local supplier of Stanton, and they've been fobbing me off for months, then they finally tell me that they'll have a test setup there in 2 weeks - about bloody time!
I'll be buying it ASAP, no matter what it does to my money situation :)

I know about MP3's make up and that, and it all depends on how good your digital collection is when it comes to quality - I never settle for anything below 160kbs, even then it's encoded at the highest quality using LAME encoder.
In any case, they will be getting a test-setup put together so I can give it go - they're contacting me when it's ready cos I've been on their backs about this since April! :D

If you've got your doubts about it, you might as well give it a go and see if it's as good/bad as you think it is :)

DrHH - if u get it before i tried it, can you post your thoughts/opinions on it? :)

He's not likely to need music at broadcast quality for his bedroom.

    Phil is right about Mp3's.

They are so small cos there is stuff/sounds stripped out of them.

I may be wrong here, but im sure the stuff stripped out cant be heard by human ear anyway ???

Could be wrong but am pretty sure this is the case.

Basically im rodering it on wednesday wen i get paid and will have it thurasday.

    I shall feedback.

Ive spoke to em and they have sed i have 7days home approval too.

So if its shit it goes back.

PS. For wot its worth I wouldnt encode mp3's at anything less than 192k/full stereo.

True, I also prefer 192, but it also depends on the encoder you use - CDEX with LAME encoder is the best there is.
