Yeah i'm waiting for several important deliveries

I'm sure they will be here in the next week but it's just a pain in the arse and just means hastle.

The erratic nature of it is geared to being as awkward as possible.

Differing regions striking at different times. Deliveries but no collections. Collections but not deliveries, etc.

So when i've got stuff coming from london etc, it's going to get even more held up

fair enough a few solid days of strikings sends a message and is disruptive enough but this has been going on for a few weeks now and is going to go on for a few more weeks by the looks of things!

Not even ACAS have been able to sort it.

And now some regions are taking unofficial strikes!

So really really important stuff thats sent on a "guaranteed" 9am next day special delivery, is no longer guaranteed to arrive the next day...which isn't ideal.

it is annoying. i'm waiting for a couple of important things as well.

still, it's their right to strike if they are not happy, so good luck to them.

I like the royal mail. I don't see why it had to be privatised. It always made a bit of profit which we all shared and the vans are a very jolly colour.
It can't possibly be expected to compete with firms which just cherry pick the easy bits like bulk business deliveries and leave royal mail to deliver single letters from cornwall to old ladies in shetland for the price of a stamp.

but the strike will just make everybody hate it and the people who are striking now will go the way of the miners whether they strike or not.
it's a victim of BC ... business correctness.

I just invented it. It's like political correctness but from the right. Everything has to be good for business. And that's why they're fucking up the Royal Mail.
It's like when they privatised directory enquiries. We got 'choice' - whether we wanted it or not.

they're striking cos they can see they are being fucked over. It just won't work though sadly.

    1. Stop sending letters & register whenever possible to get comms by email.

    2. Find a delivery company that you can trust when you need to send or receive a parcel.

    3. Be happy.
