Scalliwell Bosh's Fergie out of Radio1

Radio 1 have today released the news that Chris Coco and Fergie are to leave the station to be replaced in the Club Music slots with New signings Eddie Halliwell and Trophy Twins.

Fergie is to continue to put together some Essential Mixes tho.

I liked Fergies show it was the best thing on the radio minus the Emix

Everyone gives him shit, but in my opinion, he's done a fuck of a lot in terms of exposing techno, and to some extent breaks, to a wider audience through that show, with people like beyer, sims, fenton, finke (to name a very small number) all guesting. I can't really see any of the DJs still there pushing the techno sound like that if at all, which i think is a shame.

i quite liked his show on the occasions i listened - it'll be interesting to see what halliwell plays

Fair point really.

Don't think the likes of Jeff Mills, Rob Hood, Finke, etc are going to be on radio 1 again any time soon.

used to love fergies show, when he was guestn the like of sims, fenton, player ect
rekon it went down hill, fergies plays aload of gash now
not arsed his show has been axed

I've never been able to get into fergie's style..
It always seems to be repetitive as fook..
