Record stores in Newcastle - Where do you go?

    Hi everybody,
I know plenty of decent sites on the internet to buy my tunes, but I can't find any record stores in Newcastle that sell hard house/trance (except HMV but they seem very limited). Where do you buy your records from? Are there any cool independent retailers in toon?

    Hi there,

Not really for Hard House/Trance it's web or bust really if you want quality tunes.

There's a great independent Techno record shop in Newcastle though PM for details.

    Air
    Steel Wheels
    RPM
www.disruptivevinyl.com (not actually a shop in Newcastle but you can arrange to meet in the city to pick up your records centre for a cheap price)

any more? rememeber to say what genre they sell!

I do buy most records online. but nothing beats flicking through a load of random records in a shop and picking out hidden gems to listen to in the shop (if the little pricks havn't broken the turntables) I get bored very quickly shopping online but I can spend ALL day in record shops. Especially Select-a-disc in Nottingham, that one's my favourite!

Yeah I totally agree - it's just not the same online, and nothing beats checking your watch atfer a session in a good store to realise that it's past pub time...
