Promise E-Flyer Is it just me or is the Promise E-Flyer quite well erm......bit dull and boring?!?!? Don't want to offend the people responible, I mean they serve their purpose....I was just wondering whether someting a bit more could be done!! I was just thinking of maybe a bit of 'flash' and maybe some photos of the club and people!!! I know for a fact that I take more time to look at e-mails that are not just plain normal text. p.s. Would love to do it but know for a fact that I have nowhere near experience to do something like this!!!! But there must be somewhere out there who would be capable!!!
Thats what I mean...they are all dull!!! Surely putting on a few photos etc would appeal more to the people on the net and lets face it, its getting bigger every day!!!
does anyone get the gallery e-flyer? they are fucking top class!! everyweek they have a page of stuff about what's been happening in the world of dance music etc and all the news and info that is going on @ the gallery, they're really good, interesting and funny. i reckon promise should do something like that coz although i like reading the gallery e-flyer, it gets a bit boring reading about a club i've never been to nor probably ever will. just a thought!!
so do i aswell, the flyer that goes out at the mo, does its job its only to advertise the forthcoming night. The ones other people are talking about are like e-magazines, with lots of different info on them..
yeah but they is really good and a lot more interesting. we already know who is playing. why not tell us that AND something interesting that's happened in the week regarding promise etc.
The e-flyer isn't really aimed at you guys. You all know who's on months in advance. It's really for peeps that don't come on the website much. The problem is as Mark says that if we do something posh it takes ages to download and usually just pisses peeps off. I wish this was not the case but it is, when we do larger ones we get lots of peeps un-subscribing from the list!
