    Promise C.d

I think it would be a really good idea if Promise were to do a c.d for the shops, as Gatecrasher etc do.

does any one else think this is a good idea,

If it was a tripple c.d you could have

    Richard
    Lee foster
    Matt hardwickl

Dont know which order, but i bet it would be class....

we have got a lot of residents that is only my idea for the c.d
Yes mark m and kerry are bloody good d,js, but as i said this is my idea for the c.d, other peoples could be different,

and as far as the hard edge goes you have goy 3 djs there that can play anything....

i dont think it would be a gud option given the present state of promise as how many people outside of newcastle would buy a cd from a club theyve never been to?

theres what... 100 odd of us on here that wud probs buy a copy..also how well are shindigs cd sales going?.. everyone knows that cd/music sales are down...

i know what ur saying bri.. but... the clubs u mentioned have bigger names than promise.. more people know them/there more mainstream... and apart from hardwick.. the tulip/james/maitland are basically unknown apart from the people who have heard them play.. which are mostly from the newcastle area :)

That is a good question, you never know...

I dont know if you have to with these things, but people should not want to buy it for that reason, people should try and get there own sound not pinch other peoples..!

Evan iff lee did put his track listings down i know for a fact that you would not be able to buy them because he gets them about 3/4 months before they come out..

If i was lee i would nt show people my records either!

think if it was to be for a promise compilation cd then it is a MUST to show the tracklisting.

gotta draw the ppl that dunno promise name to the cd by tracklisting...

exactly :) 'authentic' clubbers or whatever u wana call em will look at the tracklist obviously.. but people who are not in the know as much wont neccesarliy look at whats on the cd... more what the club/cd is called/ who mixed it.... it has to appeal to the masses to make ££

i just dont think promise is prominent in clubland to release a complialation yet..

also i dont know much about rights of tunes on cd... but they cud be pricey to buy if clubs such as crasher have them on there cd as well

    :)

dunno - spose we wont know will we see.

but i certainly think its worth a go.

depends what costs are behind releasing this type of thing tho..

cud well be far too pricey to even consider/risk..

theres alot of things you could do to make people interested!!

And i bet there is alot of people outside the area who has heard of Promise
And if Matt did do it, some people would buy it for that reason
alone, Matt would not put his name on something what was not good!!
